Twice is truly a living legend. I spent my youth listening to rock music and I was only a fan of one group (GunsN Roses). If they had told me that years later I would be a fan of a kpop girl group, listening to their albums like crazy, watching all their concert videos and even fancams, I would never have believed it. SIXTEEN i I watched it and got emotionally attached to it, I have an interest and weakness for dance. Momo pulled me down the rabbit hole, finally with their album "Eyes Wide Open" I became a huge fan of Twice. While I thought this would end for a while, they released the album "Formula of Love" and the door of that rabbit hole was closed, there is no way out :)) (English is not my native language. I hope I explained it correctly) If you really want to know Twice, you should do the following (general advice, not for reaction).. 1. You should watch SIXTEEN 2. You should listen to their albums (You listened to With You, you got a little idea) But I recommend the recent albums "Formula Of Love" and "Eyes Wide Open".. 3. You should watch their concert videos, I think they are the videos that best describe what kind of band they are.. 4. You should watch the TTT (Time To Twice) series. They publish videos consisting of 4-5 episodes of 20 minutes on the TWICE KZbin channel. There are many series, but this series I recommend for beginners is very suitable, they are all entertaining, but some appeal to fans a little more. This one I recommend is fun and you will benefit greatly from actually getting to know your members. their solo work till now, Nayeon 2 ('IM NAYEON'(pop), 'NA'(a b c d)), Jihyo 1 ('zone'(killin me good)), Tzuyu 1('about tzu'(runaway)), MiSaMo 2 ('masterpiece' (do not touch), 'HAUTE COUTURE' (identity) also 3 solo songs, Mina's 'misty', Momo's 'money in my pocket', Sana's 'mirage') actually, a lot of interesting things in their music choice (which also need to credit their production team) like 'fancy you' that they revisit 'psychedelic' genre (and also re-branding it) or message behind 'TWICEtagram' album which also can interpret as 'life in digital era'(or maybe just me?) most of the songs can interpret as uplift & supportive (not 'cry for me'. :D) like 'hare hare'+'catch a wave', so good. (a lot more, too long list.) beware of their japanese release, most got block on youtube (not sure, just MV. or also music. :P) might because of warner's copyright. anyway, have a good day. :)

44:03 I think they said before (cant remember which interview) that they kinda didnt want to influence each one's decision in the matter during that time so they really didnt know at the time. But they had talked about it soon after (before the public announcement came out) so they already knew everyone renewed by the time the reports came in. But yes during the actual renewal period they didnt know everyone renewed basically, and work has already started on their EP (Between 1&2) so they were thinking it would have been their last album together if not all of them renewed. 2018 will always be known as Twice's hardworking era, they released their fifth EP, What Is Love? in April 2018, then it was reissued as Summer Nights with a new title track "Dance the Night Away", in July of the same year. "Yes or Yes", their sixth EP, was released in November, with a reissue titled The Year of "Yes" following it in December with a new sone "The Best Thing I Ever Did". (All title tracks with their Own MV's). And in between those releases, 5 New Japanese tracks with MV's and two Japanese albums. That's 10 MV's shot in one Year?!!! Knowing these, you'll feel how tired the girls were that year 🥲😐 No one will ever say they didn't work their butts off to get to where they are now. 🥰

Twice have so many 'Sliding Doors' moments - what if Jihyo had quit as a Trainee after '6 Mix' didn't happen, what if Momo and Tzuyu were not added to the group, what if Mina and Jeongyeon didn't return from hiatus, what if they didn't all re-sign their contracts, what if Dahyun had physically attacked JYP for not getting Bibimbap on Knowing Bros and of course, what if Sana hadn't ignored the original choreo and balled her hands into fists, raised them to her face and moved them from side to side while saying "Sha-sha-sha" 🤯

So much I could say lol, but i'll keep it simple. In my opinion neither Jeongyeon or Mina went on a Kpop type HIatus. Mina, in my opinion needed some time to fully grasp Sharon, something made easier because Sana IS a Sharon. Once she accepted Sharon she came back to us, I love Sharon. Oh and she may be an angel but she's more a princess if you ask me. Now Jeongyeon took injury rehab time and had nothing to do with an issue she had with being an IDOL She was young and had no one to help her realize that you can't rush a spinal surgery rehab so she came back before she was ready and had to leave again and this time she listened to the doctors and stayed out till she fully recovered. To show you her true strength, taking steroids' is part of the regiment of any spinal injury rehab and weight gain is a side effect. Weight is a stupid part of Kpop but Jeongyeon basically told all the haters to f... off and has just kept on making us ONCE's smile, and looks more beautiful than ever (yes she was, is and always will be my bias). OT9 forever (TIMELESS).

Re the renewal contract, it was not so much that they don't talk to each other about contract renewal. It was that they all decided not to tell each other if they would renew of not as to not put pressure on each other on the decision to renew.

Yes, definitely, but if you want to relax and have a smile on your face for minutes, forget the bad in the world, I recommend you watch the seasons of Tim To Twice especially the season spring break or camping, you get to know more about their personalities and discover how close they are❤️

as a Mina stan her hiatus has been the most painful time, the radio silence was anxiety inducing, not knowing if Mina would return as long time passes but the same time hoping that she would. athen her feel special teaser dropped. I’m telling ya’ll, I basically sobbed and bawled my eyes out from relief, inconsolable for a few minutes so grateful to know she’s okay and that she’ll eventually come back and Twice would still be OT9 😭

The part of "three stages of a story" is just plain wrong if you really listen to Twice's dicography. Twice's music even from the start shows hint of agency eventhough from a standpoint of a teen. They're not even really bubble gum pop they're teen pop that's why they encompass a lot of other genre (yes even from their first albums but people just associate Twice with bubble gum pop or cutesy concept because of Cheer Up and starting from the Twicecoaster album which leaned more to these concepts). If you want to describe the themes of their earlier albums it's basically coming of age musings but that doesn't mean that "love" or being in a relationship is not present during the first albums cause there are songs there that depicts they are already in a relationship. They also show assertiveness to certain extent on how they pursue and try to make their move for their relationship. God I dream of a KZbin introduction for Kpop Group that does not lean on making desperate emotional appeal to the audience.
