the spinning of a helicopter is caused by its engine pulling it to one side, this design won't have this effect...

this has to be the least practical way of travel. In over 30 years they have only added 10 seconds of flight time. I think it's safe to say we will not be using jet packs to go to work or the store in the future, not in 10 years or 100 years.
