It looked cool in the video because they just played the animation, but I was very disappointed to see how fake it was despite the view count. The final result here is much more simple, but also more satisfying because you can actually see it in real time, albeit slowly.

it's designed for real-time(4 ticks pre frame, 2.5fps), but when it actually running, the mspt was way over 50ms, so the video is speed up a lot

It would be harder to isolate the individual pixel signals, that's probably the reason it uses 4x4 pixels to begin with, also there's illumination bugs with the lamps.

What hz is your screen running at? And is the recording sped up? Just curious im trying to compare mine to others And also did you set up a program to generate the rom? Thats a hell of a lot to have done manually and im curious how you did it

I assume that the flying machines serve as a bridge so the memory representation is displayed, so the screen updates every time the machines move , so the hz depends on the speed the machines move

it's designed for 2.5fps, the recording itself has been speed up a lot, but it's able to run 2.5fps at real time if there have a powerful enough pc(mine isn't) this bad apple is first video I have made, so the solution may sounds ridiculous. I actually using a pixel art generator(I forget which one specifically) turns each frame of bad apple to iron and coal block, write a script to load them into world in order(type in commands and press enter automatically), then using world edit replace them with glass and redstone block, and using another script to move each line to their position

you could use redstone lambs as screen to make it faster but its still incredible

Redstone lamps have a 2 tick delay when they turn off, so it would probably blend some frames, maybe you could use retextured trapdoors to have a instant activation and deactivation while still preserving a cool look

It probably is not speed up, the flying machines bridge the positive signals from the memory with the display, the display updates every time the flaying machines move.
