Thank you so much....I literally just found this by mistake when doing a 3 day search for a men's messenger bag...unsuccessfully. I have now bought this pattern and looking forward to using the wax canvas I have left from a previous make for him. He wants it without the front zipper pocket and just to be a floppy bag to use when on his motorbike...as a crossbody. I hope I can convert it to his preferences. Thanks again for another great tutorial.

I love, love, love this bag...I can see me making many more of these. I cracked up at 1:11:00... wait a minute, the magnet's back here on the back... I laugh because this is something I would have done, I know what I would have said, and it would not have made my mama proud (although she would say the same thing)! There were several things that made me chuckle in this one and that's why I love your videos so much. The Bee Box outdid itself with this one!! I embroidered an Ichthus symbol on the bottom of the flap and I'm giving it to one of the pastors at the hospital I work in - he will love this. And he would not have been proud of what I would have said either! lol

I used to be a no go for any bag pattern that had a welt zipper included, now I just adjust it a little and use the zipper accent tutorial/pattern that you have. I love the little extra that it adds, and I am much better at that method!

For the seam roller - u can use wallpaper seam roller from the hardware store. Don't know if the $$$$ is less or not.

Ugh. Was looking great until I was transitioning top stitching the flap at the point fabric meets vinyl. Then I got the big loops. Do I pick everything out and try again. My tension wheel doesn't have numbers (Janome 725S -- just I, II and II). It's at three, but I guess I needed to increase. Worried holes will show in my fabric if I unpick...Only an inch into vinyl part. Fingers crossed I can salvage this!

Great bag but I think the front flap zipper goes up too high on the front flap. It almost goes over the top. Might be difficult to get in to. Just my humble opinion. But again really great bag.

My sewing machine DID NOT like putting the connectors on. I did all the tricks but my machine was not having it. So I left the wonky skipped stitches in and put in rivets. If you don’t look too close it doesn’t look bad.

Where did you find the brown faux leather with the black backing? All mine has white backing. 🙄 also, it looks like you’re using cotton webbing. I didn’t think you could burn the ends of cotton webbing?

What’s the pros and cons of using the annual magnetic snap vs KamSnaps

Metal magnetic snaps are much more sturdy than Kamsnaps, which are plastic and require you to match up the male and female parts in order to snap them together. The magnetic snaps come together more easily and better for man- hands.
