Eve literally said that the reason she worked so hard in A levels was to then get into Oxford and be able to have more time to herself. The whole point of uni is the EXPERIENCE- that includes social aspects as well as academic! And you can guarantee that Eve is still working much harder than so many others at uni. Keep doing what ya doing gal💖

No one can be expected to work hours and hours straight without a break at some point to relax and take time for yourself. You deserve the nights out and the days off, you work incredibly hard. As someone who burns out like nothing else when I force myself to work too long, Eve remembering to let herself have time off is so important and a great reminder to me that I don’t have to be constantly working and everyone deserves a break

I was the exact same as you in first year, I think many are, you want to do a bunch of social stuff and go out all the time, do it! For me I went out like 3-5 times a week and yes I was tired, and my work suffered, but by the time second year had rolled round I had no desire to go out, I much preferred focusing on my work and then more chill film nights etc, same in third year. I'm now a masters student and I'm thankful I have those memories but glad I got it all out my system early

So sad the vlogs are stopping but girl always put your mental health first!! As someone that is a bit further on in uni life let me say, YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY GO ON TONNES OF NIGHTS OUT!!! Also, you are literally in first year so people are just being ridiculous telling you that you go out too much! Honestly girl... Party, get drunk, complain about workload and eat junk. I am in my final year and I do not perform my best in assignments without taking short breaks in the evening and usually taking most of the weekend off to re-charge! I find it difficult to make time for the gym as well as the structure for uni is never set and you don't know how much time you'll need to complete an assignment! I think you're doing really well considering you are in your first year and still finding the perfect balance, you do you but most importantly enjoy every second!

it's so amazing to me that you express your frustration and how these comments have affected you....and people go on right below me to keep saying the same things! like you're a five year old who needs their help! it's amazing how self absorbed people can be, how they think their particular advice is absolutely vital to you,especially when they're not even in school and don't know how much time you're actually putting in. and even if you aren't putting in the time that others are....and what about it?! there is more to life than school and grades. you need to experience life and relationships in university/college/grad school/and beyond in order to make these experiences worth while. if you aced all your classes but have no friends and are a hermit, you haven't gotten out of the experience what will make you a well-rounded adult. all you've done is get good grades. youtubers are not politicians. youtubers aren't even celebrities. youtubers are regular people who put their life online, NOT FOR ADVICE, but just to share. that's it. it's to share with you. you have no right to say jack shit unless they literally come on camera and say "comment down below what you think about my study schedule!" otherwise - keep it to your damn self!

Surely your uni is the same where first year doesn't even count towards the classification of your degree, hence why most uni students go out loads first year. Second/Third year is when people start going out less, which will give you more time to concentrate on your work anyway. Basically don''t let any comments get to you about having a good time. I realise it's easier said than done but your putting in loads of work as it is and personally my favourite part of your vlogs are when your just genuinely enjoying yourself.

can’t believe people are out here judging what EVERY SINGLE UNI STUDENT does... for a start you are doing so well in your academic work and so you don’t /need/ to “work more”. you’ve got a great balance of work and social life atm and it’s great to see you having fun after the stress of a levels. After y13 I’m planning on doing the same as you, not trying to stress out so much with academics and do more things for myself because being so stressed out and revising constantly is no good for your mental health. I’ve found I’ve sacrificed so much of myself for a levels that I’ve truly lost myself, and it’s only been now, as I almost leave college, that I’m trying to pick up my hobbies again. So yeah, you NEED breaks and time out for yourself. ‘Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it’. take it all one day at a time and enjoy every moment! ☀️

Okay... your attitude when you're like 'you all tell me to spend my life in the library'. Literally no one has said that or is implying that... but when you upload weekly vlogs of you obviously struggling with uni (which is entirely understandable - we all do sometimes!) then obviously people are going to offer advice. Of course we don't see your full life and how much time you spend doing this or that, but don't ask for advice if you don't want to hear it. I think everyone is just trying to help you and I get how frustrating it is when people are telling you how to live your life, but you still haven't reached that balance between A Level Eve and socialite (haha) Eve, and that's okay because NONE of us have. Keep trying, and look after yourself, But you're obviously not happy atm and continuing on the way you're doing is not going to make anything better. You're nearly there, keep fighting xx

I think the point is more that she does not want all those people constantly judging her, so she just stoppen vloggibg - which will probably save her some time for other things and also Relief her emotional stress. I could not imagine what it would feel like to have thousands of people watching basically my whole life and judging me... and you will always be criticized. Either for not having a social life, for not working hard enough, for doing too much of both... I really enjoyed the vlogs, and I do not think Eve is specifically mad at her viewers but rather feels like it is all too much for herself.

I believe people's problem is not that you go out per se, but that you do it so often. I mean you called last week a bit more chill going out wise, but you still drunk 3 times if I am not mistaken, some weeks it even 4 nights, so its understandable that people believe that it could be the reason for your, for instance, mental health issues. But then again everybody is different and you know yourself better, I just wished you at least tried for a week or so a different lifestyle as personally I would never feel relaxed or recharged if I went to clubs after a hard school day, just more tired.

@aimeerbrts12345 жыл бұрын
Paige And EddieSJ yes but it’s all personal! First year of university is about finding your balance between work and fun and it might not always work out but it’s how you find what suits you. This is why people tend to go out more often in first year and have fun as they as it’s a time to find yourself in a new environment with new people. There is no need to compare yourself to Eve and there is no need to slate a girl for prioritising the social aspect of university more so than yourself. Everyone needs to stop telling her what she is doing wrong, rather support her for trying to figure it out in such an intense school environment.
@LauraDeFeh5 жыл бұрын
@@aimeerbrts1234 trust me, I know what university is like, been there longer than Eve at this point! In my opinion, if she wants to feel better and she clearly does, she should think about changes in different aspects of her life, which include going out. I simply suggested that trying to stay low key for a few weeks could help her understsnd if this is what maybe should be different. I do not think that I care too much or compare too much - my comment was pretty valid and not insulting to her or anyone else, so no, I do not have to lighten up. :)
@aimeerbrts12345 жыл бұрын
LauraDeFeh I’ve just graduated so I know too don’t worry lol just stop criticising a girl for trying to figure things out. It’s patronising and doesn’t help her feel any better about herself and her situation. University is about trial and error... it isn’t a one size fits all :)

Ok but everyone knows that you go to university for the experience... you make friends and mistakes, you go out, you join societies and have fun and you struggle with the workload because there is SO MUCH!! That’s the point of uni and if you go to uni just to study 24/7 then you might as well not go at all because it’s not just about the degree, it never was.

This must be a UK mindset because in Australia, it’s not about the “uni experience”.. you literally just go to get your degree! Seems like more pressure to need your uni experience to be this amazing, super social, life-changing thing. It’s not bad I suppose, just different.

@@RoseAllDayyy almostfamous99 It's definitely a cultural thing (I know the USA has something similar, although the actual experience is very different). The great thing about it, is actually the fact that there is no pressure to have the same experience as anyone else! I have friends who joined the knitting society and scouts, friends who go to every protest, friends who go out every night, friends who work hard on their degree etc. The point is, once you get to university, your uni experience will be shaped by what you do, who you meet and what you enjoy. It's life-changing because you move away from home and try new things. You reshape yourself to the person you really are, and the person you want to be. You get a degree at the end of it, but just getting a good degree won't get you a job so everything else counts.
