Bought this yesterday and tried it today. Gotta say it did get the most bites out of any lure I own today, include my favorite pencils. Everyone on the beach was jealous. But there were some drawbacks as well. Pros: -Triggered insane amounts of bites -Action was phenomenal Cons - Did not cast far at all, in fact one of the shortest plugs. Even smaller ones of other brands out distance this - fish seemed to catch the trebles deep in their mouths consistently

I've found the middle treble can get easily caught up in the rib design underneath. Losing the tail and canal rigging it seems to have eliminated that and swims pretty much the same.

Too heavy for most surf fishing. I would not call that surface popping. Also walking the dog is on the surface. It does look good though. Basically a super strike little neck. As a lure whore I will buy one and try it. One commenter here said the body treble gets caught on the ribs. That's would be unacceptable.
