I thought what a great idea, until I went to Amazon and saw some of the cons, such as the battery is several mm longer than the average 18650 so you can't use it with every 18650 compatible battery. It would be worth to lose a few MaH for a 65mm length battery instead of 70mm like this one. Interesting to see if they make any improvements based on customer feedback. Thanks for the review!

I would never have noticed unless you said something, but you are correct-the Lumintop 18650 is larger. But I found something interesting. The Lumintop ("LT") battery is 2.5 mm longer than other batteries of equal MaH (i.e., 3400), whereas it is a full 4.5 mm longer than the 2200 MaH 18650 that came in my Norzero flashlight. Consequently, the LT battery does not work in the Norzero. But it does work in my Thrunite lights. So, I would say that if you are running a flashlight that accepts modern 18650 batteries between 3200 and 3800 MaH, you are probably good to go using the LT battery. Thanks for pointing that out!

So far it seems to be the same, possibly even better than my standard 18650's branded "Thrunite."
