#DisusedRailway #AbandonedRailway
Once again you join Rebecca and Paul in this family friendly video on their quest to visit #EveryDisusedStation in the UK. Once again you join Rebecca and Paul in South Wales.
We visited all the Abandoned Stations along the line between Carmethen and Lampeter, and even had a little time to visit Gwili Steam railway.
This is a truly stunning line, and we hope that the Steam Railway can achieve their goal of heading north from Conwil to Llanpumsaint.
Big thanks as follows:
1) Dyfan Rees for is help and time at the Gwili Steam Railway.
2) Andrea for her continued support with regards to guide and pronunciation assistance! (Yes before she arrived today we got some widely wrong!).

Scenic, yes, profitable no. It had a ruling linespeed of 25mph and was quite lightly laid. Journeys from Carmarthen - Aber too 3 hours in the 1960s and no-one used it. The line might be a useful thing now, but these railways simply made no money and when the line was severed by flooding, the closure was inevitable.

Quality productions like your will always attract viewers. The camera quality was amazing. There were points where I thought I could shake hands with you. I did like the double screen map, excellent. The lad you interviewed was a good advert for the line, what a nice bloke. The drone is good and you use it sparingly which makes the viewer want more. @@pwhitewick Yes Welsh is a phonetic language - you can't pronounce it wrongly if you learn the alphabet, and that won't take more than 10 mins of your time! It is the oldest indigenous language of Britain so every Brit should learn to pronounce it, just as New Zealanders learn how to pronounce Maori.

@@cargy930 possibly, but the steel work does look very old and similar to a station further north on the line.

This video is really great. Paul and Rebecca are much more interesting than Geoff and Vicki who are so irritating.

Glad you enjoyed the video John. Alas of it wasn't for the dynamic duo we wouldn't have started making videos. 👍

Cheers Martin. We had all the coordinates on our list (as with them Emlyn Branch), but ran out of time. Both branches are on this list for the next trip to Wales.

Excellent as always. It doesn’t seem that long since it was closed. It makes me wonder if some of these lines survived just a bit longer they would have made it to the era of realising how important railways are and still be here if that makes sense. Do you mind me asking what camera you use and what software you use for editing?

Cheers Don. There are often lines where we ponder how and why they ever opened, this one however is certainly not one of them. Travel by train from Carmarthen to Aber now and it'll take you over 6 hours. Plus its stunning of course! Equipment: Canon 80D GoPro Hero Black 7 Rode Mic Edit: PowerDirector (Yup) Phones: Most pictures we use our phones as the shots Rebecca's Samsung takes are amazing.
