A Beautiful House in Mid of Cholistan Desert | Pakistan Village Life | Village Lifestyle

This is a video about a unique Chonra baithak in the village of Cholistan Desert. This Baithak is located in the 4 DRB village of the Cholistan desert in Pakistan while going to Derawar Fort. It also depicts the culture of Pakistan village life in the Cholistan Desert. This baithak is unique due to its colors. In Sindh, these are called Chonras but in the Cholistan these are called Gupas.
These colors on Gupas not only make them beautiful but also make them unique from other Chonras or Gupas. This baithak is of Azhar Kalari. This baithak has two Gupas and one hut type which is called Saal in Saraiki. This Baithak or Dera was completed in 4 months and the cost was 1.5 million. All these gupas and saal have a unique sitting system.
One Gupa has charpai, the Second saal has a ground sitting system and the last gupa has moras. These gupas are the tradition and culture of the cholistan desert. The foundations are made from hard bricks and cement. The inner roof consists of cloth as well. The bed sheets placed on charpai are homemade by cholistani women. These are called Ralli and Gindi. The cost of a one-bed sheet is 15 to 16000 rupees.
It is a good step to promote the culture of cholistan in the Pakistani village. These gupas remain cool in summer and warm in winter. The age of these gupas is up to 15 years. Then only their roof is replaced. This dera or baithak is open for anyone to visit. They provide free food and stay here. This place remains one of the unique in the villages of Pakistan.
