Holy moly info overload but I love it! I definitely think y’all covered everything that pertains to the main display. What about the sump? What do we use it for and what do we hope to get out of it so we know it’s setup up properly and doing what it was intended to do. Refugium or no refugium? Cool things to put in the sump that is more of a utility cleanup thing so the ugly stuff stays out of the main display. Just some potential topics to discuss on next weeks video smile😊

great job Richard overloaded with info. wondering is it easier to keep hard or soft corals when starting out.
@richardbullard5983 Жыл бұрын
Soft corals are much less demanding, and are much easier beginner corals. Then we can branch out, pun intended!

Great job Richard. Thanks for all the great information. I was wondering what are some of the challenges when trying to keep LPS and SPS corals in the same reef tank?
@richardbullard5983 Жыл бұрын
LPS do not enjoy the same flow that most SPS do. This is a highly debatable and often opinionated subject! LPS also like more dissolved organics than most SPS do as well.

Euphyllia question. I've had a torch splitting however it's a multi head split going from 2 heads to about 5. My question is this; is it normal for a torch tentacles to be curled and retracted during a split?
@richardbullard5983 Жыл бұрын
It is normal. They are changing their structure, and will be stretched and misshapen when this is occurring .

How do I know my corals are in the right spot to grow in my tank?
@richardbullard5983 Жыл бұрын
That is a great question! Usually soft corals are not as demanding as stony, and do not require as much light. We will try to answer more in the next video, but you can always swing by so that we can point at things as we discuss them!
