We upgraded my wife from the 12 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max first because we wanted the satellite SOS call capability to back up our sat phone when hiking in the outback here in Oz. I was content to stay on the 12 until I saw the quality of the photos she was taking on the 15 and so have upgraded myself. She is cleverer than me but your video is so good I'm hoping to overtake her one day!

Such a wonderful video. When I first watched it, I thought you were parodying the complexity of the iPhone. Remember when all you had to do was point and shoot. Now it seems to need a big instruction manual like any other camera. Incidentally I do love the 15 pro max and all those modes.

Now - what I’d like to see… I would like to see a contrast and compare between the native camera app and say Black Magic camera app for shooting videos. I know the BM app offers extreme granular exposure control, but the native camera app offers unique video modes along with some lens options not found in something like the Black Magic app. I also wonder if the native app shoots sharper videos too. I’d love to see that comparison 👍🏻

Absolute massive review and instructional video. Just got the phone up from an 11 pro max and wow the camera is insane. Just from my first image of my dog in semi dark room with the portrait in camera mode and I see every single hair on her head from a quick snap I did. Crazy. Also the 5x is just wow! Zoomed into a towel I had hanging up and that towel became the main character of all towel stories immediately. Lol. Thanks again.

Currently, the native camera does not allow you to adjust IOS or Shutter Speed manually. However, you can use third-party apps like ProCam8 to do so.

Use ProRAW 48mp. Just a note that this will give you a larger file size and that images need to go through post-processing.

Had a 13 mini and LOVED it, except for the lack of a tele lens. I wanted the Pro Max so I could get the 5x lens, but I just got the 3x Pro as I did not want a slab of a phone again like I had some years ago ;)

Hi there, The simplest way to take macro photos or videos is to move your iPhone up close to the subject. The camera will automatically switch to the Ultra Wide lens for macro shots. When you’re within 5.5 inches of a subject, the camera switches to macro mode. You can also manually switch to the Ultra Wide lens for better control. Experiment with different angles and lighting to capture stunning macro shots

Do you happen to have another beginner's video because I had no idea what you were talking about on this one. All I know how to do is point the camera and get awful pictures. I try to take a picture of the moon and I get a big blur. I turn it up to five and it's worse. HELP please!!!

iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro can only take 10 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. Why ? I don't have an iPhone, so can anyone please let me know if you turn ProRaw in 12 megapixel instead of 48 megapixel, can it take 12 bit photos ? I'm curious about this because, 12-bit = 68 billion colours. But, 10-bit = 1.07 billion colours. That's a huge difference. If iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro cannot take 12 bit photos, that seems to be a huge downgrade ! ??

It’s very confusing. Try this for yourself. Choose your magnification. Try cover up the camera lense that the phone is using with your finger, it will switch to another lens and doesn’t seem to alter the image. Even with the telephoto. There must be auto lens switching and a lot of cropping going on. Great for non photographers but nightmare for hose who want to pick a specific lens
