A Beginner's Guide To Stepn (Full Tutorial)

STEPN: WHAT YOU NEED TO GET STARTED

5. Smartphone with GPS functioning
6. (Optional) Phantom wallet
STEPN: HOW TO START YOUR ACCOUNT
1. Download the app
2. Get your activation code from discord or their website - / discord
3. Input your activation code
4. Create a wallet and deposit Solana in
5. Move your Solana to your spending account
6. Buy a shoe
WHAT SHOE TO BUY ON STEPN?
There are 4 different types of shoes: Walker, Jogger, Runner and Trainer.
We recommend Jogger because you can just brisk walk but if you don’t mind running then you can choose Runner.
Trainer is the best because it gives you flexibility, but it’s the most expensive too and it might not be worth it.
WHAT ARE THE 4 DIFFERENT STATS ON STEPN SHOES?
Efficiency - this determines how much Green Satoshi Token (GST) you can earn
Luck - this is for the chance at a random drop. Not very useful unless you have high level shoe
Comfort - this is for when you earn GMT, another token in the system but it’s not live yet so this is not useful
Resiliency - this determines how much you need to pay to repair your shoe after every run
To have higher stats, you need to level up your shoe. The higher the level, the more points you can allocate to efficiency or resiliency.
Having said all of that, our recommendation is to get a level 9 shoe with 35+ efficiency and 10+ resiliency.
Level 9 is optimal so you won’t have really have to level up anymore. If you buy a lower level shoe, you’ll have to spend GST to level it up and it is not as efficient.
However if you really don’t have the capital for this, then you can look at level 5 shoes with good efficiency and resiliency as well. Whether it’s a walker, jogger, or runner it’s up to you.
HOW TO EARN MONEY WITH STEPN
Once you’ve got your shoe, its time to make money.
You can’t walk all day and earn money, you’re limited by how much energy you have.
If you have 1 shoe, you get 2 energy a day, 3 shoes you get 4 energy a day, and so on.
Assuming most of us will only have 1 shoe, we’ll start off with 2 energy a day which is roughly 10 mins of walking.
Everyday at 3pm, 9pm, 3am, and 9am, we will get 25% of our energy refilled which is 0.5.
Usually I would just wait till my energy is full at 2 before doing a my 10 min walk.
Just make sure you don’t forget to do it before the next energy refill by pressing start and walk your 10 mins.
After its done, make sure you repair your shoe by paying back some of the GST you earned which will be roughly 20%.
After repairing, you've got your net GST gain for the day.
You can then either decide to keep it, or trade it for another coin by moving it from spending to wallet, then hit trade.
From there, you're free to withdraw it to your phantom wallet or an exchange of your choice.

for everyone wondering, he said you get about 8.5 gst per 2 energy (1 day). At current rates (7/3/2022), GST is worth about 10 cents. So you make 85 cents per day. Sick! Ponzimatics at work right here
