You presented the history along with interesting facts about the emergence of zines so well, great video with lots of useful information! I am interested in making one and maybe even involving my artsy friends into collaboration. Zines seem to be the perfect ground for exchanging ideas and building audience. I will come back to this video a few more times to catch up with everything and write notes as it is a valuable resource. Keep up the good work! Sincerely, grumpy guy

Wonderfully informative video. Zines were never on my radar until this week. Thanks for filling in a lot of information, wish I had seen this 60 years ago.

That is so cool! There were so many creative cover designs and art inserts in the ones I found while researching this. I imagine they can get pretty delicate to hold onto over time.

I've been getting into making zines as a personal outlet- but i never knew much about their history. This popped into my feed by chance and i appreciate the recommendations as well. This is a great video, thank you!

Great to hear! I love how accessible zine making it. I used to do a lot of single sheet zines or little sticky notes!

Thank you so much! I love Bre's approach to work. She does so many different binding and folding methods, and I want to make her tiny mini zines one day. Enjoy your crafting!

Any thoughts on Online Zines? I publish a few of mine online bc it's cheaper for me. I've been thinking about making physical copies for months now but the work that comes with it is really daunting tbh. Do you have recommendations for online zines to read/subscribe to?

I love online zines! I haven’t read any recently, but I know the sherwoodforestzinelibrary.org would be a great starting point

So Martin Luther was a punk?

I’ve always thought so. The Protestant reformation challenged so many ideas of who is “allowed” to read or interpret the words that made up the blueprint of their society. I just tend to stick to the staple gun when putting up work these days!
