I need to re watch this several times - just amazing ! 👏👏👏

Very helpful! I particularly like the way you used Pixinsight and Photoshop together. For me this is getting the best out of both programs. Hope you post more processing videos and thanks again.

Very informative overview of a very nice workflow for processing narrowband images. Thanks Bray!

Thank you Bray! This was very helpful. I’m going to adjust my workflow on my next NB image to incorporate many of your techniques.

Very nice. I think the idea of starless nebula looks very interesting. Kinda the best of two worlds :D You data looks extremly clean

0:55 What are the rest of the filters for if you're only using three of the 7 available?

And how do you process your image if you use more than 3 filters on the same object?

Loved the video! I learned a lot. But I'm not familiar with the apps, and would like to have seen exactly what you were doing in their dialogs. Would be awesome to move your picture in picture in any new videos to one of the other corners so we can see what you were doing in the apps in that upper right corner.

Nice video, straightly explained! Question regarding exposure time when using narrowband filter: For the amount of e.g. Ha signal it does not make a difference if you use a brodband red filter 5 min exposure or a narrowband Ha filter 5 min exposure. Ha signal strength is the same. Of course you "can" expose longer when using narrowband filters but you "don't have to", do you?
@astrofalls2 жыл бұрын
Because all the ambient red light is gone, you will want to expose more to improve the noise especially in the background. All the same Ha is there as in the broadband but without the ambient light from the broadband filter the exposure is improper

@@astrofalls thanks, but what emits red light in space? Hydrogen and Stars (continuum). What else? Don't have a narrowband setup yet, will give it a try one day 😉

Sorry, you are blocking the pixinsight processing part

For me, a starless nebula is a bit much and looks fake. On the plus side, at least you aren't adding diffraction spikes with a plug-in :) Thanks for the video.

You could add them with floss, why not add them with software ;)
