Every time i put on some Hollywood dvd movie i’ve prob seen a few times i end up watching one of ur videos and losing interest in the movie. Skating will cure you from a lot of bullshit if you love it. I didn’t realize it enough when i was younger, but past 50, if you’re disappointed with all the bullshit in the world- there’s just a purity and creativity to skating that makes for a lot of the coolest cats around. If you really break it all down, skateparks are consistently one of the few places you can count on finding people who are really doing what they want to be doing, rather than working for some elusive goal of some kind of security, that they will never really find. To skate is to enjoy living your Life for the moment. And it’s why a lot of guys take a while to get back to it… once they realize how little is truly satisfying to chase after in this Life. I’ll bet the average decent daily skater has a higher quality of existence than most billionaires. It sounds crazy- but it’s only the simple things that make you happy for the most part. And why aren’t billionaires kicking down a million here or there for community skateparks?! This is what gives kids some positive direction and self- confidence. Bob Marley sang something bout” ego trips and blasting off in spaceships”- take some of ur ridiculous money and build kids skateparksl.. it’s a drop in the bucket of all the money ur gonna waste in ur lifetime doing ridiculous stuff due to lack of real vision and imagination.🤷🏻 Too judgemental? maybe.. but a million dollars to a billionaire is like $20 to most of us so i’ve got very little sympathy if they’re not building fun stuff for kids!
