Awh thank you so so much ☕️✨ And I just found out about the heating pad thing on tiktok! Of course, it may not be 100% accurate, but these blanket kind of ones are a safe temp for the cats, and it comes with a timer which I like so I can turn it on over night!

I'm sure somebody's already said this but Ashley Flowers hosts the Crime Junkie podcast. I haven't read her book yet but the podcast is really well done. I did read The Butcher and the Wren by Alaina Urqhart of Morbid & thought it was really good. I don't read a lot of thriller/horror so take that with a grain of salt lol. I will say that she does a great job with her podcast as well (just a very different style than Crime Junkie) and I think it translated into her book really well. Xoxo A Morbid/Alaina/Ash Stan 😂

To answer your question: I prefer book hauls over book unboxings because the sound of cardboard is like nails on a chalkboard for me and I always have to skip ahead when people unbox stuff in their vids. I fully realize that’s a “me” problem and the sound of cardboard doesn’t bother most people but it’s the bane of my existence 🥵

This is only my opinion so please don’t come for me. I think if you take a lot of information from real life events or you have an open ending, it’s lazy. To me that’s not an author, It’s like copy & paste. If we did our jobs lazy we would no doubt be fired so why do authors get a pass on laziness. I hate when I’ve paid for a book and I have to decide an ending or it’s basically a true story an ‘author’ has copy & pasted but changed names, gender etc. it’s rubbish!

Oh no, this is totally a place where you can state your opinions! Please never be worried about that. And I definitely understand what you’re saying. This is actually kind of what I was a little worried about at the beginning of the book. I do think throughout there were enough changes to make it not necessarily a copy and paste situation, but it was no question who she was inspired by if that makes sense. I would love to see a true crime thriller that wasn’t so similar to real case!
