A BIG Snowstorm Is On The Way...

There is increasing confidence in a BIG snowstorm occurring across parts of the United States this upcoming weekend, followed by a true Arctic airmass across the Central and Eastern United States. And will there be a BIG East-Coast snowstorm? Everything you need to know is detailed in the video above. As Of Right Now: What Do We Know... 1) There will be a storm. 2) The storm will bring a rain side, an icy mix, and a snow side. What We Don't Know... 1) How intense will the storm be? 2) How much moisture the storm has to work with? 3) How much rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow will there be? 4) Where will the storm track? 50 to 100 miles North or South make a BIG difference in who gets what type of precipitation. It feels like the lower great lake area in Michigan and Ohio keeps getting screwed when it snows either snow in the Upper Great Lakes or the Rock Mountain get all of the snow

Difficult to say, it just all depends on elevation. Lower elevation rain and some snow. Higher elevation snow, and it could be heavy snow in the higher elevations.

Every model is showing my area 2+ feet lol ...j live just east of Cleveland Ohio 30 minutes...we already got 50+ inches just in December...it was nice to have a little break the lake effect has been killing us from Cleveland to Buffalo

The weather pattern will encourage a few snowstorms to move towards Erie, PA through the middle of January. I cannot speak on how much snow could fall because it's uncertain right now.

Certainly no snowfall for North Texas with the first storm this weekend. The temperatures will be far too warm for snow. The weather models have been hinting at a second storm system around the second week of January further south. It all depends on how cold the temperatures will be when precipitation moves in. There's a pretty decent chance for snow later this weekend (especially Sunday, Sunday Night and into Monday). Freezing rain and sleet will also be a possible precipitation type for Vincennes, Indiana. I'll keep you updated.

Correct. Storm track will be key. As of now, it appears the biggest snowstorm of the season so far is coming late this weekend. But again, does it reach Chicago? Or just south? I’ll keep you posted.
