Will long Island get any snow this season ?? Im 43 and recall my childhood being having abundance of snow every winter , even as a teen and young adult into the early 2010s but it seems like snow is a thing of the past for my area , last year we got a total of 3 inches in my area , far cry from feet ... plus fresh accumulation frequently...

Yeahhhh, I can remember the storms we got here in NW Pennsylvania in the 80s and 90s. We're right in the area that gets the Lake Effect Snow Events, but we get far less than we used to. Climate change sucks. Max is on point about the whole where the snow will end up regarding lake effect snow. (I mean, he always is, but you get my point.) The north east part of my county might get a foot to a foot and a half of snow, while the south west part of the county might get four inches, tops. What's super wild to me is if I drive from the sw corner of the county to maybe 4-5 miles ne, they always have a couple of inches of more snow, and they get terrible squalls. You can legit go from white out conditions to clear roads in minutes. It's wild.

There are distinct areas of Michigan. Lower Michigan is made up of southern lower, mid and upper lower. Southern lower is generally south of Lansing. Mid is from Lansing to Clare. Upper lower is from Clare to Mackinaw. The upper peninsula is referred to as the UP.

I think the universe hates me. All I've wanted to see for years is a bad winter like I had as a kid. Call me crazy but that's an experience to be had I think.
