I completely agree, but general trends can be identified (in some cases) over 7 days out. We were able to forecast some of the more recent winter storms and arctic blasts based off of trends beyond 7 days out. Obviously, exact numbers, where all the snow falls, etc, are not very predictable 7 days in advance.

Max are we ever going to get what we call good snow in New England. Your are by far the only weather person we can trust thanks for your honesty and integrity
@maxvanderspurt23134 сағат бұрын
No the Northeast doesn't really have winter anymore I'm in southern NH and havent seen a good real winter in about 15 years only a few big storms here and there past few years dropping a foot plus that then quickly melts right after due to higher temps it's pointless to have a snowmobile here can't use any of the trails not enough snow hasn't been for years stupid to do plowing as well not enough storms to make any money doing it anymore I don't see it changing lately the south has been getting more snow then here I think that trend will continue just as the magnetic poles continue to shift .....
@JACKDAWFISH4 сағат бұрын
@maxvanderspurt2313 Music to my ears! Coastal RI here. Everyone here hates winter but being quite a bit older than you, I think it's just an ebb an flow of patterns. In the 60's up until 1978, we had almost no real winter. Then the patterns changed especially in the late 80's and 90's - tons of snow. When a blocking pattern over Greenland sets up with a ridge in the west, we get pummeled. I've been following the shift of the magnetic pole too, but don't know if it really makes a lot of difference. Thanks Max!
@maxvanderspurt23133 сағат бұрын
@JACKDAWFISH the pole shift will trigger earthquakes and major weather events the poles will shift alot more the end result will be vastly different land forms globally but we have greater issues that will happen before that not good times ahead

@ I’m quite sure our weatherman, whose been our weatherman for over 15yrs would let us know if it were simply “the calm before the storm”. The 10 day forecast has some rain today and tomorrow … beyond that, very good weather for this time of year. For example, it said there was an 85% chance of rain today… The day is half over and there’s been no rain at all.

❤😢😮 too bad the plane and the helicopter had a crash like that. I heard in one of the vehicles either the helicopter or something a plane if they're below a thousand ft, the radar wasn't working for some reason. Boy they should change that right away and they wouldn't have a crash and a loss of life like this. My sympathy goes out to the people that perished and the helicopter and the airplane at Reagan national airport. Thank you. Max, what's your prediction on punxsutawney Phil on Sunday you think he's going to see his shuttle? I think so. By the way you're talking. I think we're going to get six more weeks of winter if he sees a shadow. Thank you!.👍👍👍

That rain in north Fort Worth was crazy yesterday! Somebody passed me on the road and the splash had my windshield completely covered in water for at least a full second (long time driving on busy road in pouring rain 😭) could’ve been driving a submarine.
