You have a special gift..i see so many of you guys being able to get this close or they have them as a pet, cuz they can't live outside as it's not safe, I so wish I could have this kind of bond with squirrels, birds etc..ppl who love nature this way are angels..

What kind of bird is this? What is their habitat? I want to keep one as a pet. So cute. Do you feed birds too? Do the birds also eat nuts? If so. Then their name is Squirrel Bird and their habitat is living near squirrels. Hehehe. Lol

Lol!😆 It is a titmouse bird. I do feed the birds too and yes they do eat the nuts. There is bird seeds and peanuts out for them to get but I hold in my hands the same nuts that I feed the squirrels (pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds) and they love them too.

@@MelGsBackyardSquirreling I find them the sweetest of all God's creatures. I have spent many hours, days, watching them and they are highly entertaining as well. Sorry cat and dog lovers... these guys have it hands down. And I have 2 cats (had cats my whole life). These little guys look you straight in the eyes and tell you they love you. Of course, that is if you're feeding them :) Keep making these videos please. They're awesome!

I have a question. Do you close your eyes fully or partially upon ther arrival or at any time? I always thought that wild animals can be spooked by seeing our eyes.

Thank you! The first time I tried I held my arm out for it felt like 20 minutes but after that it got quicker and quicker and now sometimes I have noticed that they will sit up on the branch and squawk at me to hold out my hand and when I do they just fly over and take the nut. It is so cute! And I do look at them. I think they are completely aware that I am there. Some are more trusting than others but I don’t stay still all of the time so they know I’m a living being and not just a statue lol!

Lol! I was wondering where you’ve been. Now I know😆. I have had lots of hawks around too so I stopped leaving food out when I’m not out there. I feel bad that all of my little critters can’t eat all day when they want but it’s better than them getting eaten. I have been trying to sit out there for 4 hours or so a day with bird seed in a bowl and handing out nuts. It’s been freezing 🥶
