There is something very magical about Salt Lake City. I’ve visited there on several occasions and stayed at the Grand Hotel. I love the city, I love the people, and I love the free Trams. Thank you SLC 👍🇺🇸

@@7saany I'm neutral here. I'm not Austrian and I'm not American but I can tell you Utah (the entire state) is BY FAR more beautiful, impressive and diverse than not only Austria but the entire continent of Europe. Utah alone have 18 of the 30 Koppen Climate Zones (Europe have 18 too) Utah have more biomes and ecosystems than Europe. USA is the most diverse BY FAR with 26 of the 30 Koppen Climate Zones (2nd place country is China with only 18 and 2nd place country or continent is Asia with 22) USA also have more mineral/natural/agricultural resources than any country in the world. USA is also the only country in the world with all 10 Biomes and all 15 ecosystems. Now if you are talking about Salt Lake City vs Vienna the result is a little bit different. I say that they are both beautiful with a ton of history and architecture but Utah have BY FAR a better natural scenery than Vienna (that's the difference maker for me). Plus SLC have a better Quality of Life Index than Vienna. Greetings from Dominican Republic

Lived here my whole life. Always want to go to SLC and walk around. It has a very calming, inviting, and warm atmosphere. During the summer months, you get a nice feel for the city. Delicious BBQ restaurants, City Creek mall, and Abravenal Hall. During the Winter you get Christmas lights strung inside and outsides buildings, Lights on homes. A nice Hot Chocolate while walking through downtown or discovering the past at This Is The Place monument can be the most relaxing and adventurous things to do in Salt lake city. Park city is also very nice. Beautiful Resort Town. Not many people living their gives it a crowded, yet relaxing feel too the city. During the winter, with hundreds if not thousands of people skiing during the day, and walking through the city at night, gives it such a beautiful atmosphere.

I reckon Salt Lake City would have to be one of the most beautiful cities in the whole of the US. I was just browsing Mario Capecchi Drive on Street View and the views of the mountains were just phenomenally spectacular. It reminds me a lot of the city of Adelaide in South Australia as the roads are very wide and straight, and there are tram lines running through the middle of many of them. Salt Lake City is a lot greener however, and there seems to be a lot more two/three-storey housing. Adelaide is very horizontal for a city of its size. Meanwhile, there are some small villages in South Australia that are very much completely at ground level and sets of stairs don't even exist.
@miguelidcomm2 жыл бұрын
Why is that? (Towns and cities being so horizontal in Australia). That’s my question. And I also wanted to say great comment about SLC. 👍🙂
@tomcollett18932 жыл бұрын
@@miguelidcomm I'm not exactly 100% sure myself, but it may have been more cost-effective to build houses at ground level. I was just looking at the country town of Wudinna and very much every single house in the town is at ground level there. Blocks of land are also more generous in size due to the smaller population, so there is enough room to build houses all at the one level, whereas places like Sydney, you have all the terrace houses where everything's all crammed into much smaller spaces.

If you are comparing it to NYC or LA its reasonable. It is pricey compared to the south or midwest. The local wages are pretty bad relative to house prices.
