Welcome to "Birds of Borneo | a birding adventure in Sabah"! Join me on this 8-day journey through the rainforests of Borneo as I explore the incredible diversity of bird species in the region. All of these birds are new to me. I really enjoyed viewing them. HOWEVER, I wish you would give the birds names longer screen time than a nano second. Then your videos would rate a 10. I thought perhaps the birds were in the witness protection program.😇

Excellent!And I admire your generous support and information.I have seen few of your videos on other destinations too. Coming back to Sabah and birding I and my partner would like to know your travel arrangements from Kota Kinabalu and accommodation.Hiring a vehicle is viable or flying?I find accommodation and those tours are pretty expensive proposition for an average bird enthusiast and a photographer.Any suggestions for an affordable accommodation and travel.Greatly appreciate your suggestions

I traveled to Tabin by inland flight. Tabin can indeed be expensive, and I don't have any cheaper alternatives to suggest. For Kinabatangan River, I flew to Sandakan and then arranged everything through Romzie, at [phone] on WhatsApp. He's experienced and offers reasonable prices for transportation and accommodation. As for RDC, I recommend staying at Sepilok B&B. It might not be the cheapest option, but it's the closest and allows for easy walking access to RDC for birding.

I didn't hire a birding guide for the entire trip. To go birding in Sabah, fly to the main city, Kota Kinabalu. For Tabin Wildlife Reserve, you can check packages that include bird guides: tabinwildlife.com.my/. In the Kinabatangan River area, you can contact Romzie via WhatsApp at +60 11‑3152 1176. He's an very experienced guide and can arrange everything for you. I stayed at Sepilok B&B near the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), which is within walking distance for birding. Hope this information helps!
