I always get slightly jealous at how well you are at being an adult haha it sounds silly but I can never be bothered to wash my clothes and cook lots of healthy meals I’m always complaining about doing adult things 😆 You seem to take everything in your stride and also keep busy during the day which I envy as I end up sitting around haha. Our daughter was born the same year as Delilah, she was born in the September and she was in her big bed the month after she turned 2 and was fully toilet trained at 2 years 3 months. We were pretty chilled with it all and she done it all early with no stress or pressure. Our first child - I found it difficult - there was a lot of worry, stress and tears and we learned from that! I think you have exactly the right idea, no point rushing it, children do things when they are ready!

Can’t agree or stress this enough / more ! I worked with children for so many years, & the amount of parents that came in armed with spare clothes, close to tears, looking frazzled; & their little ones looking a bit stressed out was unbelievable. I can’t blame them. There’s so much pressure in today’s society stating by 2 they should be potty trained or well on their way, in a big girls / boys bed, full vocab.. it’s so silly. The moment my colleagues & I sat with the parents & explained we take a relaxed approach, something clicked in the parents & whether it took weeks, months or a year all of them got there, stress free & both parties happy. All children learn & show signs of potty training differently; there’s just no point forcing it! Rhiannon has the right attitude. Lovely to see encouraging comments like this ☺️ xx

Just a little tip (im not an expert but work with children) when Deliah sits in a 'w' shape (google it for pics) that weakens their legs, so try and encourage her to sit with her legs forward or crossed legs x

sianmarylouise Yeah I sat like that a lot as a child and am suffering from it now. My feet are at the incorrect angle, my knees are angled inwards rather than forwards, because of that I struggle with running. Pleaaaaaaase encourage her not to do it, once you have started developing around that position it is really hard to sit in any other way.

I love your vlogs! I've watched you since you pretty much started KZbin, on and off! But I remember when you had little Delilah and her as a baby. Time flies. I love seeing moments where you and Doug play with her and just watching her grow up has been so sweet and heartfelt. She's so adorable. I'm 26 and I just got married, my husband and I talk about starting a family and we're obsessed with babies. Seeing your every day life makes me so excited for it all, even though I know it's not always going to be easy. I really like your approach to being patient with her milestones and letting her gradually get there rather than forcing it. I'm so jealous of your spring weather! Here in Canada it's still randomly snowing and some days are bit warmer with some sun, but it's still chilly.

I also waited until my son was ready to "potty train", boys tend to do it later any way so I'm told, but I think it's great you aren't in a rush. I didn't always listen to my instincts to ignore what others were doing, but I don't regret any of the times I did, they were always what was right for us! Love your vlogs!

Everything is mostly Quorn and Linda McCartney. Quorn for chicken pieces/strips, nuggets, mince and sausages then Linda for pies and sometimes sausages 😋

So excited to be on time after a while! Also I wanted to inform you about how removing coffee from my life has removed my anxiety by 40-50% .I love coffee but found out I was lactose sensitive so I had to leave everything dairy hence coffee also went out the door - the first 3 weeks were awful but it has been 7 months now and I am doing great. I didn't not choose to go with almond milk etc because I wanted to test myself aswell and I am glad! I drink so many smoothies now so I get my energy from them but I still missed the taste so I started having 2 cups a week when I hit my 2 month mark.I look forward to it now but I don't need it and now my anxiety is obviously still there but it isn't as random and my cheeks and face doesn't get as many hot flushes I don't start talking too quickly. I know it seems like a lot but I swear everything become less in intensity over time as I left coffee and I am better for it.I reccomend you try it for a month because it has been life changing and it has been 7 months so it isn't a quick thing for me - it has stood the test of time.Sorry for such a long comment but I really wanted to tell you because you help me with my anxiety and I wanted to share something that might help you with yours. lots of love

I'm the same, it really helped my anxiety taking caffeine out my diet! I had to not drink anything caffeinated before a Doctor's thing I was having and when I had a cup of tea I realised how rubbish it made my anxiety. I now don't drink any caffeine and I try not to eat too much dark chocolate as I find that can start the slightly shaky body and beating heart symptoms of my anxiety/panic attacks. I'd recommend just giving it a try for a month :)

@@blondechicka101 glad to hear you are doing good, the only caffeine I still have is in soft drinks (sprite/coke) and every time I have a glass I realise what the caffeine does to me - I never knew it would made such a difference. I will try cutting dark chocolate out as well I did not know it cause shakiness - thanks !

@@alena198318 Thanks! you too :) Yeah I'm the same, having soft drinks make me feel a bit strange. Dark chocolate has a certain amount of caffeine in it (more than milk chocolate). It is 43 mg per 100g of dark chocolate but it also depends on its percentage. Milk chocolate has some in but less & white chocolate has no caffeine. Cocoa beans naturally contain caffeine. :)

You know I tried potty training my son a little shy of 2 and a half years and he wasn't ready. And then a month later he said he wanted to do it alone and have some privacy. My husband went to work in Australia when we had that beast from the east storm and when he came back two weeks later his son was fully trained and he had done it all by himself. And he is amazing at going to the toilet... he 3 now and even out of night nappies ... honestly incredible.

My daughter and Delilah were born within a week of each other. I tried potty training this past month and it was a disaster. All my sisters and mom told me that they potty trained when their kids were ready but we tried training outright and we regret it. I fully believe in letting them do it when they’re ready so good on you! We’re waiting a little while longer until my daughter is truly ready. She’s close, so probably in the next 6 months or so!

As always, so delighted when I received notice that you had uploaded a new video...and 47 minutes...you will spoil us!! We are not worthy!! All kidding aside, so happy to see another video. I was so delighted to hear you say that you were going to let Delilah set the pace of her potty training. I am old enough to be your mum and during the time that I was raising my girls, there was a huge amount of pressure to strictly schedule all the milestones like potty training. I rebelled against it all because I was not going to make it a battle or an issue for my child to use a potty or not. That just didn’t seem right in my books. Luckily my oldest went to a childminder and there was a boy six months older who was potty training. My Katie saw that and came home and basically told me “enough with the diapers” and that was that, except for a few accidents, she was potty trained from that time one. My youngest, who was super competitive with her older sister, as younger children often are, had heard the stories how Katie potty trained herself and was damned if her sister could do it and she couldn’t. I would go in to get her up in the morning and think that I had gone mad in the night and put her diaper on backwards. Only to discover that she was taking her diaper off in the night, rolling it in a ball, putting her pjs back on and then going to sleep. Normally she would put her own diaper back on before I got her up. Anyways, I saw lots of very stressful interactions between toddlers and their parents who were trying to impose potty training on a child who wasn’t ready. I am so happy things went so well for me (I just got bloody lucky, if you ask me) and I hope things will go well for you. Love the skirt, and love the section where you have the white wording and just quiet music. I do love hearing you and your family speaking, but I am Autistic and sometimes I have to turn down the volume because I just can’t handle anymore stimuli. I will the watch your videos with the subtitles. So it was so refreshing to see this new style, I like it, keep it coming as a mixer-upper in your video style. Enough blathering on for me, thank you again for the lovely 47 minutes of wellness time. Cheers!!

Free People a little over a year ago so I’m not sure they’ll still have them but worth a look x
