BlazeDeval It set a new standard for gaming, better graphics, smoother gameplay, larger worlds, and also was a new type of FPS. The only thing it really changed was our expectations for future games.

MistahWiddlyWah I wouldn't really say it set a new standard. Graphics were always improving, so it didn't really do anything special there. Smoother game-play is debatable as what counts as it varies from person to person. Perhaps the larger worlds. It did seem big at the time, but not the biggest. As for being a new type of FPS, not really.

BlazeDeval Well, that's why they are called opinions. If Halo didn't set a new standard Master Chief wouldn't be the poster boy for xbox, because Bungie was relatively new and didn't have a reputation like Naughty Dog or EA Games I don't think Microsoft would have taken a huge risk like that without being absolutely sure it was a "game changer" first. But again its just an opinion.

MistahWiddlyWah I was simply stating my opinion as well. There's no need for you to feel like I am telling you that you are completely wrong and that I am always right. A game doesn't have to set a new standard to be popular and the reason he is the poster boy for Xbox is because of how well the game did. A space marine fighting aliens was nothing new at the time, but people enjoy it because--well its a giant dude shooting and smashing aliens in the face. It was a pretty high chance of succeeding type of game.

come on!!, that song the "never forget" song is present in halo 3, halo reach and odst and as joe jeremiah said in the video description ("Never Forget" (From the Halo 3 Soundtrack)) he took it from the halo 3 soundtrack, because is in that game were the song was used first, then in odst, and then in reach, and i said reach because is the version that i like the most, it is not my problem that you only have played odst... ¬_¬
