I wish you all the best. I live in Monroe NC. In 2000 I opened a home decor store called The Finishing Touch. I still worked full time in Insurance, and my son was 18 he ran the store. We had it for about 4 years, but had to make the decision to close. I remember the trips to Atlanta market with my son and husband, and still think about how much I loved my store. Just couldn't compete with the big box stores. You will always remember your hard work,and I know you will enjoy time with family .

So sorry to here you are closing your business. You are so right….owning a small business, especially now, is not for the feint of heart. I started my business when my daughter was kindergarten age, mainly so I could be with her during the day when she was home and once my husband came home I could work my business outside of the home. When she was around 6, I got a brick and mortar business residence. My daughter would come over after school so she could see me and my clients loved her, helped her with homework, etc. As she got a little older, she helped me and I was even able to hire/pay her. However, it was very wearing on me…..long 10+ hours per day except for weekends.At that point I had no choice. I went in with a partner and I would never have been able to get out without losing everything and then some. My partner ended up not putting in her time as was planned, which added even more stress. I still have the business, 18 years later. My situation was different from yours. But I think if you can get out and you’re no worse for the wear, do it. You can always go back to it once your children are out of the house if you feel you miss it. We only had one child, and my husband was great about picking up the slack. But if we would have had more children, I don’t see how it could have worked out. I definitely will miss the Shop as I bought a lot and love everything I bought. But I love your Channel too! Tell Chad he still has to pop on to say hello or fix something once in a while.😂❤️
