Thank you Rabbi so much for uploading this early. I listened to this lecture Live as best I could, but strained to hear it. You were not shouting out your lecture like you normally do, so I could only hear it when you periodically raised your voice.

AMAZING THANK YOU RABBI. This lecture revealed so much about why the world is as it is. The specific part about the explanation of the curse of the fourth son of Ham, and the events originating from that absolutely makes sense, especially of the darkness of today. When nothing else makes sense and the world is so dark, ONLY Torah comes through. Thank you for facilitating such knowledge to us. It is like a lifeguard saving one from drowning at the last moment.

I finally understood Balaam's behaviour when he furst refused to curse Israel and then went with Balak's messengers. Wow, it is not possible to thank R. Mizrachi enough. He is the best Rabbi in the world for me.

What verses in Tanakh mentions the curse as a result of a castration? And does this means Ethiopian Jews are cursed as well? Also, how did Noah has multiracial children?

01:06:36 GaBriel - GaVriel. I am wondering since a few years about that question, why in some words the hebrew letter bet is sometimes translated and spoken as a "B" and sometimes (in the same word!) as a "V". Like in Merkava. Sometimes I see it written as MerkaVa and sometimes as MerkaBa. The same now with Gabriel. Anyone knows what is behind this ? Maybe both B and V are equally valid and people may use as they like one of them, no matter of B or V ?

By the way Ham is buried in Pakistan. Solomon writes about his dark skin Song of Solomon 1:5-6. Moses married a Cushite woman. Moses lived in Cush for 40 years. Taharqa is the Biblical "Tirhakah", king of Kush, who waged war against Sennacherib during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah (2 Kings 19:9; Isaiah 37:9).

During all those centuries, in which so much energy was spent validating racial injustice, I wish that Jews and humanity as a whole could have seen this passage from Pirkei D’Rabbi Eliezer (chapter 24) and have been just as pervasive in the common consciousness: He blessed Noah and his sons-as it says: ‘And Gd blessed them,’…He blessed Shem and his sons [making them] black and comely…He blessed Ham and his sons [making them] black as the raven… He blessed Japheth and his sons [making] all of them white and beautiful… Interesting. Not only is Ham’s blackness termed as a blessing, but hey, look at that-it says that Shem and his descendants were blessed to be black and comely. Y’know, Shem, ancestor of Abraham, ancestor of the Jewish People. Interesting indeed.

Why would Balaam knowing that g-d is real, he talks to him… why would he still go against g-d knowing for 100% he is real? Hubris? Greed? Crazy idolatry?

Thank G-d, my elementary school teachers were wise enough not to teach every single Rashi commentary. Not so my middle and high school. We studied and were tested weekly on all Rashi’s commentaries, and I was deeply upset by this one (and numerous others, especially in Genesis, which would be more at home in Canterbury’s Tales). So, before offering an interpretation, a word of advice to parents: please make sure you know what your children are taught in Hebrew school. Make sure it is age appropriate, and that if it is a Torah commentary, the teacher made an effort to choose one which can benefit the students, and did not just follow obediently one commentator.
