7 to 8 years back when I went there first time, when the food is hot the cooking mama will keep food onto your plate without asking, I was very annoyed first time...then I went second time I realised they do it to everyone and regulars don't get upset because they think they are doing it out of affection towards customers...very small but a very interesting place to eat...

Rayars have customers who came by word of mouth and the new ones would most definitely come back... This is their USP....for many like me, Rayar mess is embedded in subconscious....it is part of me ! One thing is, people recount what they ate and there is no separate billing system. We pay telling what we ate in the cash counter...with 16 ppl per ever busy batch and 1 other batch waiting , only this TRUST works 😀

Rate is too high. Space is very small and only 10 members can sit. Hence u feel that heavy crowd. I live in the same street. They make hype like more crowd.
