Hi Charlie, I really enjoyed this video. Just a small thing, in the video at the point where you start to paint the boat, the sea in the background had been painted but you did not talk through the colours you used. Would love to know because I shall attempt to recreate this painting. Also as a request, please could you demonstrate how to paint an Ocean Liner or a Tramp Ship on the ocean waves ether in watercolour or acrylics. Hope to be painting in one of your classes later in the year if allowed. Keep well and stay safe.

Chris Champion yes it was a bit of a cock up that bit!! The mix was cobalt blue, hookers green and a touch of Payne’s grey. If you have a look on twitter I did the Mauritania a few weeks ago on there!

Great painting. Found you when I first started painting in the first lockdown, I started with watercolour so I didn't watch any of your acrylics , shame on me, but I'm going to have a go at this one. When you say you use the same brushes for watercolour and acrylics do you mean the same set or a set for each? Thank you for sharing your talent, I've learnt so much. Stay safe 😉

thank you for the inspiration for me to try acrylics…… Have a question for you… I have been toying with the idea of using fluid acrylic sort as a watercolor… have you ever experimented with fluid acrylic in this way?
@charlesevans77064 жыл бұрын
Yes, but if you’re going to paint it in the style of watercolour, it’s exactly the same as using normal system3 because you’re putting a lot of water into it!
@jefferywarburton21164 жыл бұрын
painting on something that absorbs your paint like, paper, or card. could help and you wouldnt have trouble with overtinning and underbinding the paint plus paper or cardstock is cheaper than canvas and an acrylic medium to bind the thin paint
