They recently moved locations and the vendors have filled their spaces with new treasures =) I found some awesome "keepers", some cool vintage to resell and even the perfect bohemian piece for a friend. It was quite the thrift haul.
My name is Laura and I am a full time vintage shop owner and I've been self employed for 8 years selling my vintage finds online, in flea markets and local vintage malls. I love to resell 2nd hand and vintage items so they can live a second (or third or fourth) life!

Yay! I'm so glad you stopped by Reliques. That teal dresser with the flowers and peacock is mine. The dresser itself is hand painted, I blended 5 different colors to give it some depth. And the flowers are a high quality furniture transfer. The awesome vintage purse with the mushrooms sold opening weekend. I'm sure I'm not the only vendor that plans on adding a lot more stuff over the next few weeks.

It’s funny because in ‘93when I got married (in a 1912(ish) dress, that I no longer fit into (ahem), I was into Victorianish design. Now I absolutely LOVE your style. 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Laura, my mama made me a skirt just like that in 1978. I remember seeing someone wearing it on 'Top of the pops' 😂 😂 and just had to have it. Selena mentioned it in a reply to someone’s question on one of her videos. The person said something along the line of when are we going to see another Recycled Life video and she responded that both her and Laura were focusing on their own channels this year.

Reliques is most certainly worth the trip. What a great idea to have so many different people with an artistic eye have their little shop space there. Prices seem reasonable for such a shop. The pillow case didn't seem 70s to me at all, and I was on the planet back then. Love that painting with the chair and lamps. Wouldn't have paid a penny for the face one. The oil painting however really caught my eye too, just because I love the picture-frame and color scheme that much. You were bubbly on this occasion, one could see you were having such a good time. Fun to watch.

I went thrifting today at Savers. I bought three graduated, round, wooden candle holders with hand carved swirl patterns. I told the lady at check-out that my KZbin BoHo thrifters got together and told me I needed to buy these. My sister visited and liked my decor. I’m a happy thrifter! Thank you!

I love the whole upgrading idea. I flip furniture and I’ve been doing this also and have really quality furniture now. I’m also drawn to the darkness and I think it’s because I’m very sensitive and sensitive to the darkness as well as the light, sometimes more to the dark. I found a tension lamp from the 1970s in the attic of our house when we bought it....complete with the amber glass. I cleaned it up and put it in my livingroom 👍

I’ve always felt home was amidst Mid Century but alas sadly with a lack of time or budget it was never to be.....However you’ve inspired me to live my dream in miniature and have just purchased my very own vintage mid century dollhouse YAY!!!! it’s going to take many year’s to fix up to truly how I imagined but I’m really going to enjoy dreaming big for my little place. I had a painted handbag in high school! I had a little turtle with a thin ish leather strap that you would wrap around it to keep it closed. We had a tension/ multi lamps that they bought for the sectional sofa. Our house didn’t have a main over head light in the living room, so had to have a few lamps located around the room.

Laura I love your videos and your style!! The Bohemian style is so me, I wanted to be a hippie so bad when I was a young teen😊. I self taught myself how to macrame, and made end tables from either wood or glass pieces and hanging macrame. They were so cool. Keep up the great vids.🌻

Hello there, I also live in Vancouver, and we definitely shop in all the same places. I would like to thank you for leaving the second turquoise ring, I bought it right after you got yours. It fit me absolutely perfect. The girl that helped me open the case said someone had just purchased the other one. I asked if their name was Laura, and she said yes, do you know her? You are correct! That's my dresser. I use Dixie Bell mineral chalk paint and an IOD transfer. And yes, Brushed by Brandy has great tutorials!

I went to an Estate Sale yesterday and they had the exact same crown hat for 2.00, I past it up but I did find some great boho clothing and 100+ hats. I thought of you the whole time that I was there. BTW I bought my first floppy hat. Love the artwork that you picked up and you were so sweet to pickup items for your friend for her new apartment. Fun trip to Reliques. I didn't realize they were moving until I saw their FB post Saturday afternoon. Of course I dropped everything, hopped in the car and ran over there.
