In Todays video we explore the woodland that once formed part of the RAF Woodhall Spa Bomb Dispersals .
Back in wartime this would have been a busy place as crews armed and loaded bombs onto trolleys which were then taken to the waiting Lancasters for there next missions .
Come with us as we take a look at what's left hidden in the woods .
Thanks to all that comment and like our videos and also to all that subscribe which helps our channel grow .
If you haven't subscribed yet please consider doing so as we have some great videos coming up .
Thanks again .

Hello David and Shell Another evocative film. I completely understand what you mean about the “feel” of places like this. Some are ghostly, some peaceful , some mysterious but all just fire your imagination!! The trackways would have been a hive of activity back in the day and now nature is taking it back. You’re right, recording these places now is so important. No idea what those metal loops are for? Can’t even think of a wild suggestion!! 😃 To stay something but no idea what. I wonder how many accidents there were. And if the area was ever bombed or if it was a bit far North. I must get back to our local disused airfield - I love it up there and there are woodlands like this one here, where there are trackways still with the rails - which go for a couple of miles to the nearest road. That was originally an RAF base which then the USAAF used from 1942. So rather than Lancasters there were Flying Fortresses using that. Evocative places Have a great weekend you two - hope you can stay cool next week. Crazy temps down here!! 😨😨😨

Hi guys thanks for the comments and glad you liked the video ,it's was a bit of weird place made you feel uneasy at times that prob didnt help as shell had been watching someone doing a ghost Hunt there 😁 The thought of the 617 squadron flying from there was quite something to think they were possibly stood there 80 yrs before us and how peaceful it was now compared to back then . It's sadly disappearing and soon some of them just be rubble so in years to come people won't even know what was once there . We must venture to your part of the UK sometime as there are quite a few places I'd like to visit before they too are lost . Keep safe in the heat next week , have a good weekend David & Shell
