No comments, no likes in 3 days! I understand, you have to be our age to see the value of what you said. I'm 67 and I had an eadrly transition into accepting all orientations, partly thanks to a friend of mine who came out as gay. We were told that everybody HAS to be heterosexual and the truth is that humankind has never been like that. Not everybody in our generation can evolve and accept this diversity, so I understand what it means for a man of about my age to say this. Thanks. Just an example of what I see and like: there's a guy in my neighbourhood who's got big muscles and a beard. In the summer, he wears polo shirts and ... skirts of this light kind of fabric that's so fresh on hot days. I have no idea about their sexual orientation and I don't think it's my business, but I find it very clever of them to wear clothes that make you feel less hot in the summer. I wish many more people felt this free.

Good on you for being open to reexamining your beliefs and understanding of who you are! I also realized quite late in life that I am on the asexual spectrum. I’ve gotten to the point where checking the heterosexual box on forms doesn’t feel right, but I’m not quite ready to check any other box either…

@@Lyandra01 I understand the spectrum a lot more thanks to my son. But how many assume their sexuality, without never fully knowing who they are?

@ With more states trying to make it illegal to discuss these differences in schools, unfortunately, there will continue to be many people who spend an inordinate amount of time not getting to know their true selves, and possibly being hurt or hurting others because of their ignorance. 😢 I’m glad you’re learning from your son.

@ Thanks. It’s an ongoing journey, but that’s the way it should be. Few people know who they truly are until the end, and sometimes not even then
