Artsy JRey lol! You forget the work and pain and expenses that go into this. This becomes your job and it is a hard life, especially when so many don’t have access to health care when a batch of pickled vegetables goes bad or a fall off the roof installing tiles on the barn like my uncle in law. My in-laws are like this to a tiny degree in the United States and I see how much they work and sacrifice... this woman dose it for survival and for love. LaBa(腊八) Congee is a traditional Chinese food emerged in the very early stage of Chinese civilization. people use all kinds of beans that they harvested in autumn, game's meat to cook congee and share in the whole tribe, a ceremony to celebrate the end of the old year and beginning of new year. the day is the 8th，Dec in traditional Chinese calendar (it's not the same calendar been used all over the world )，腊 means the way that we preserve meat or the dried salty meat， 八 means 8th. the flavor differ in different region of china, people in the south prefer sugared flavor. people in the north or some other place like salty taste. it's like a Chinese version Thanksgiving day. when the Buddism began to spread in China， that religion gave it their meaning, they choose it as a religious big day. In that day, monks will share LaBa Congee to believers for free. you can still have a taste of the congee for free in some Buddha temples nowadays.

All her video just like how my life in 15 years ago. I use to live in countryside. My parent planting vegetables and we have a lot chicken. We dont have so much money to buy food so we cook our own chicken and our own vegetables. I use to bring the vegetables to sell at market or I sell them to ppl in my village. When I study in primary school my mom cooking desserts and she pack for me, so I brought and sell to my friend. When I'm back from school I going to the field with my animals until evening. The life that can say it hard to live but also can say that I'm really close to nature. All her video just remind me of my young age. I got tearing while thinking about the past. Really grateful to be this level of life now. My life was so hard from the past but we always step the patient and try our best to get a better life. #cambodian.

I know her original fans are all Chinese but please don't hate all of us international fans. Some of us legit respect her craft ship when it comes to cooking. But I'm sure I'm not the only one when it comes to: - This is legit Eternal Garden. Either she travels to certain places to collect all these ingredients in every video or she is literally surrounded by vegetable heaven. Not calling it fake or anything! But damn them Chinese soils though! - Where can I order that Shovel-Butcher Knife-Hammer-CanBeUsedForAnySituation tool? - Does she run her own restaurant/shop? In some videos, she cooks a vast amount of food! Does she give them away to local elderly neighbours? She looks to take care of her grandma alone so this wouldn't be abnormal thing I guess. Or does she just cooks everything and has every food available to her all the time? - Before she came to countryside to live with her grandma, was she professional chef? Did she study or learnt it her way? Is she the risen god of cookery? - It feels like her doing these videos just because she wants to care for her grandma + KZbin doesn't seem to justify the amount of passion and hard work she puts into every single videos. 原来我一直把腊八粥错认为是由八种材料熬制的粥，看过子柒的视频后才知并非如此呀。 做法因地而异，可甜可咸，材料种类可以是５，７，８种，或者十几种均可。 材料可以从大米、糯米、小米、黑米、红腰豆、核桃、花生、莲子、红枣、葡萄干、桂圆，还有黄豆、绿豆、黑豆、红豆、薏仁米、豌豆、柿干、栗子和松子等，共二十来种里选取呢。
