I also love how the shots linger, allowing the viewer to soak in all the details, so that when Kogonada revisits those shots or similar ones later into the film, the viewer can instantly notice the minute details implemented.

I loved everything about how this was shot, the use of negative space, the long hallway shots, the use of colors like red (especially), yellow and blue, all the beautiful architecture in this gorgeous small town. So much to take in and enjoy.. can’t wait to see his new film After Yang, with Colin Farrell. Great video btw 👍🏼👍🏼

Man, I am dying to see this movie now. As a Hoosier, I was excited to stumble upon a movie set in Columbus, but knowing that it pays homage to Ozu takes me over the top! Thank you for this video

@@MarceloTutoriais100 That's excellent. I've been a few times, and it's a very chill little town. A must visit if architecture is a passion, but the idea of the town and how it all came about is as much an inspiration as anything.
