Love the way you talked about Cronos, added a couple dimensions to it that I didn't gather on my initial watch. Also you nailed it on Y Tu Mama Tambien, brilliant film.

A brief history of the Mexican new wave? I dont mean any disrespect but it kinda felt like just listing three debuts from the most popular high profile directors and exlcuding things like La Ley De Herodes (which is pretty high profile here, not sure about in other countries) and many others. But that shoutout to newer stuff was good.

Good video but a major omission is Salvador Carrasco's "The Other Conquest," another key film that kicked off the new Mexican Cinema.

I literally posted just a few weeks back an article on this on my Instagram page, @Reservoir_Cinema. Not to promote my self, I just think this is an amazing coincidence!

Uh, period MASTERPIECE "A Little Princess". Cuaron hasn't made a bad film. GREAT EXPECTATIONS is prolly his worst, and it still kind of rules!

Such a shame that all the films coming out of Mexican cinema right now are stupid romcoms and comedies.

What about Carlos Reygadas or Amat Escalante, they are very powerful film directors and no one talks about them never :c So sad!
