Nice shots and flying :-) Can't believe that church building has been condemned. When history like that is lost it's tragic.
@XhristinaMacey6 жыл бұрын
Original First World War memorials are still inside Urbexy is awful I made a vid there made the papers which forced the authorities to secure the place I’m proud of I brought this to the attention of the town and I’m saddened that the council have condemned this building when they should have took legal action to bring a compulsory purchase order and saved the building. There spending over 6 million for a new build in the town to house a Scottish cloth, it’s all about big fat envelopes with these interconnected big business serving councils Urbexy. Have a great weekend and thank you for the kind words man

My mum grew up in Galashiels. She fondly remembered her teacher Miss McKay taking the class on a field trip to Glendearg Tower. A box lunch was provided by the cafeteria to ensure a nice picnic among brambles, heather and bracken. Teacher explained that "Glendearg" was Scots Gaelic for "Red Valley"

Great video. But don't worry about the burnt trees. The internal hard lignum is dead, and if burned out does not kill the tree - most of the tree water and nutrients flow up the few outer rings. But that "Mark" thing would have done serious damage. Just saying.

Thanks for the film - I lived in Gala' between 2016 and 2020 - I wasn't surprised that SBC sanctioned the demolition of the church - they seem to be determined to transform the town into a ramshackle collection of poorly designed and poorly built structures to replace the centuries old, majestic architecture - very sad SBC!

Not been to Glasgow yet I recently brought a bottle of Buckfast thinking it would be like Linderfarne mead as it said “tonic wine”, a picture of a church and made by benedictine monks man how wrong was I fortified with ethanol as much caffeine as 8 cans of coke and a chemical sugary taste that warms the stomach like vodka after researching I see it’s manly sold in Glasgow and is not sold in England where the poison crap is made! Sad to see how Galashiels looks nowadays, rundown shit hole, empty shops, junkies, bank street gardens used to flourish, the refurbished square is already starting to show signs of wear. Struggling businesses, the elephant nobody wanted (tapestry) a town that used to thrive and have a strong community is nothing but a formal shadow of its self.
@XhristinaMacey Жыл бұрын
Agree I knew the tapestry was a failed operation filtering money into pockets of greedy developers down the business lodge lol they should be ashamed of themselves, if you think Gala is bad is nothing compared with Hawick

Eildon Housing might make a start on the flats that will replace the church sometime in the next decade but where Eildon are concerned you just never know, they aren't the sharpest tools in the box when it comes to planning and execution.

I know it’s pure evil taking pleasure doing something like that to a magnificent grandfather tree of nature, reminds me of a clip from the 70s film rollerball which the occult satanists are burning trees for fun so many parallels in that film with society today, I enjoyed making the tune has a catchy piano hook. As a Scottish Londoner, I am shocked at the general quality of life here. And Ive lived in some rough places. What I see here? Beautiful area and scenery. COMPLETELY UNAPPRECIATED. But what with all the interbreeding? Children growing up thinking this place is normal. I made it quite well from NOTHING. Real poverty. These people choose poverty.
