The story of this movie was inspired from a Brit movie The Reincarnation of Peter Proud which in turn was inspired from an old Bollywood movie Madhumati.... interestingly Shah Rukh Khan made a movie called Om Shanti Om in 2007 with opening scene with shooting of this song and it was a direct updated modern remake of Madhumati...This movie is my fav and I have watched it many times...you should also give it a try...and also react to songs Dard E Dil and Ek Haseena Thi from this movie first...later will give you story idea of this movie.....

I love, love, love Rishi Kapoor. He is a great actor and performer. He went through a rough phase in the 90s, but during the late 60s, 70s and 2000s, he ruled the screen. His most recent - and last - project, 102 Not Out with Amitabh Bachchan, was a brilliant film, and the last time that Amitabh and Rishi worked together. They often starred together in the 70s and shared a very close friendship until Rishi sadly passed away this year. I still can't believe it! 😪

It's the remake of The Reincarnation of Peter Proud. That's the reincarnated guy. Rishi Kapoor, passed away earlier this year. In the movie he's the reborn singer under the HMV label. He has the first incident after that performance. Like he remembers something of the past.

It was a musical film....based on reincarnation....the Rishi Kappor the rock star / pop Disco /was in his previous birth a hier to rich estate ... he fell in love with an evil woman who belonged to a criminal gang ....after marriage the woman gets the man killed and acquires all his estate .....the young man is born again as this Rock star.....
