so about the instant dungeon location. it's true he teleported to another dimension, which had a similar environment with the actual station. after he killed the boss, he teleported back. the dungeon break happened to be around the station so they evacuated the area. military saluted to the hunters bc they briefly mentioned in ep 1 that conventional weapons and technology dont work inside the dungeon and cannot be used against the monsters😉

The instance dungeon is only percieved by him "the system" alters for him the location. While being there he can not interact with the real world so to speak it is a different layer of reality created by the system. To give a bit of context that is not explicitly mentioned. This dungeon has levels with the boss on the lowest. He was going up and down between levels of the dungeon to farm monster and gain levels because they had a timed respawn. Jinwoo spend many hours doing so before going to the boss. Regarding the stats. He gets stats points via his daily quest that was why he could put points into strength but to gain levels which also gives stats he has to kill monsters (and yes there is a diminishing return for lvl difference). The stats on itself work a bit different to most RPG - strength is physical body enhancement and includes agility and speed because it is pretty much enhancement for his muscles. The Agility makes him perceive the time slower comparatively to an oppponent so the actions of lower ranked things come of as slower and vice versa. Per - Perception/Sense is sensing danger, openings and the power of opponents (when he uses it actively he "glows up"). Vit is his health pool. Int is his mana pool (sry no cheat code to spec into and get a know all thing here). The ability coming with the title Wolf Assassin is a stats boost against beast monster in general and made the fight against the Blue Venom-Fanged Kasaka, an in regular dungeons C-Rank boss, "doable". He right there punched way above his weight class mainly because his strength with the boost brought him on an equal standing in this one stat strength. Yeah the D-Rank golem boss was not weakened. Jinwoo instagib it - but keep in mind he is underdeveloped in other stats or overdeveloped in one and that makes it doable even without the golem being a beast type monster. The dungeon break near the subway station is mainly due to the wipe of Jinwoos original party that normally would have responded to low rank dungeons spawning in the area and were tasked to clear them before they break. So the break as it was low priority of Rank happened because the Hunter association could not organize a raid to do it in time before the break.

About the power-scaling; There's a more-or-less exponential increase between ranks, but his 'player' levels works on an entirely different system. His system allows him to grow exponentially stronger, in an unreasonably short span of time. Basically, the standard dungeons and monsters get crazy strong, but he is just a totally broken existence that gets stronger faster.

As for why the dungeons break sometimes, it is a combination of factors. I liked how the author tried to ground the logistics in reality because it's similar to what you said. This is all info from the LN, I think the anime explains some of it but not super in depth: There IS a constant stream of dungeons appearing. The government manages the tracking of dungeons and assigning people to deal with them, but the problem comes down to how capitalistic the whole process has become. The big guilds only want to deal with bigger dungeons with a high rank because the loot is better. So then if private guilds aren't taking on the small dungeons, the government have to assign hunters to them. As a hunter you can choose to go public or private. You can either work for a private guild or work for the government. Pretty much anyone over D rank ends up at a private guild because the pay is better, but naturally the private guilds only want people who are strong. So then the government only has guys like Jinwoo to assign to these small dungeons, but these guys aren't strong (pretty much all of them are E and D rank) and can't just jump from one dungeon to another without rest either. (I think the book mentioned that after doing a dungeon, the gov can't assign you another dungeon for like 2 days or something like that) So eventually a dungeon break happens here and there because of a lack of manpower or the ppl that were assigned weren't able to complete the dungeon in time or what have you. Once a dungeon break happens though, then the gov can declare a state of emergency and whatever guild is closest in proximity and/or has the manpower available MUST deal with it. There's also some pretty rare occurrences of dungeon breaks happening because the portal appeared in a remote area and wasn't discovered in time.

Should have left a comment on the previous videos but once again, I love how well you guys talk through the events you’re witnessing and attempt to stabilize eachother’s interpretations of what’s happening. The ranks of the dungeons would be based on the mana level’s they read coming from within (very similar to how they checked Jinwoo in the hospital) I would agree with Graham here and assume that he’s between C and B rank at the moment. After he one shot the golem, Jinwoo assumes that the boss had been weakened by the other hunters because he struggles to perceive himself as being legitimately powerful now (but we know that the hunters fighting the golem had said ‘he’s not taking damage, his defense is too high’) Jinwoo threw a broken/low durability magic sword at a boss that essentially had a temporary Hp shield, and dropped it instantly. Jinwoo is my Elden Lord lol.

He is nowhere near B, nor in C. He is about D now. You may differentiate to high D if you like, but bassicly at that lvl the attributes he has in strength are akin to that reaching into C which is why he has the outcome with the golem as such, however all his other stats are generic - so overall he just is not C. The Hunters at the break arn't an indicator, Only the Tank is a D-Rank and barely keeps the golem in check and Lee Joohee as B Rank holds him alive. The damage dealer all are E--Rank outclassed and can for that not make a scratch in the thing.
