I used to play the hell out of this game with my cousin when we were kids, we were completely terrible and stupid, it was great In the tutorial the british voice explaining stuff to you dramatically described the gold berry as "the elusive gold berry!" which my cousin and I just assumed was what it was called because we were dumb kids so we'd spend afternoons trying to figure out how to get the elusive gold berry in a level and call it that every time we said it I don't think either of us even knew what "elusive" meant, I definitely didn't

This and the Hercules game were my favourite games as a child. I didn't honestly remember how much the movement was a hassle. But I do remember using that butt-slam a lot just for giggles.

damn this game...I got it for christmas and our family computer couldn't run it so I spent hours looking at the picktures on the back and imagining what the game would be like lol

I never got far enough in this game to see the coolest stuff - I always got stuck at the part you had to dandelion across the canyon and escape the bird. Thanks for the nostalgia wave though!

Aww, you missed a few little things, like the unique smoosh animation from stomping bugs, the pointless kick, and that if you were really fast with the joystick you could spin inplace to start the same spinning animation you get from the helicopter plant.

liked the video just for that small interlude with the Rayman theme from Rayman M/arena, that game has such a good soundtrack that gets overlooked by everyone.

I know it's been a while since the upload, but back when i was barely 10 years old I played this game on our family computer. It didn't even run at 15 frames per second 85% of the time... but I loved it. I finished it after much trial and error. But it was fun. I'll never play it again.

Your mum telling you to look at the hieroglyphics reminds me of the sort of help I got from my non gaming Mum as a kid :p In her defence she did manage to help me with the Harry Potter Ps2 games though, she went to a pretty fancy school so whenever the game told me to go to obscure locations like 'cloisters' she helped me :p

First 3D game I ever beat. I was around 5 or 6. I got mad. I cried. I told my mom to throw this piece of crap away. She always said stuff like, you can do it and you're smarter than whoever made this game you can figure it out. It taught me a lot about losing and it was the first time I HATED something and pushed thru anyway out of sheer spite. I beat this game about 20 times. I love this game.
