Mr, when you go to fill out a job application/resume' put all this on a flash drive, hand it to them and tell them where you can be reached LOL. A true hard worker I would hire you instantly if I had the capacity for a business.

I do follow several other homestead channels. We are not off grid or as self sufficient as some of the people I watch, but I like learning from people who do things differently.

You all have a large farm! Do you take your goods to a local farmers market or do people come to you to purchase products? I’m assuming you sell at least your eggs. How long have you been raising animals? Do you garden as well? Great video. Blessings...
@joshuareynolds52196 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! We sell eggs from all our birds as well as baby chicks, ducks, and guineas that we hatch in our incubator. We have a couple large gardens and we have started eating a lot of our own food recently including meat. We moved to the farm more than 2 years ago, but we had actually be raising a small flock of chickens in the city for many years before that, but once we got the farm we expanded to having literally hundreds of birds.
@reneep99686 жыл бұрын
It looks like you soak some of your feed. What livestock gets the wet grains? We are in the process of getting our house ready to sell. We are also looking for land so that we can live a more self sustainable life. We want to grow and raise the food we eat as well. Do you plan to ever do a real-time vlog about different aspects of your homestead? I enjoy your videos. Blessings...
@joshuareynolds52196 жыл бұрын
We actually came from the city knowing nothing about farming so it has been a real learning experience. We do make fermented food for all the birds, it takes more time than just serving the dry food, but it is better for them. I do plan to do some vlogs on the farm now soon that I realize people want to see more than just time lapse videos.

Please make a water tank ( with lika a hose so you use gravity to pour the water out.) for your'e quad/atv. That wouldt be great if you also make a video of it... ;p 2:00
@joshuareynolds52195 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea. Last year we had needed to drive buckets of water with the ATV out to the far pasture to fill the goose bathtubs. However we discovered that the main water line for our property actually passed right under where the bathtubs were! A few months ago we had a faucet installed which tapped the main pipe, so we can now fill the animal water much easier. We recently set up a new coop in an even farther pasture which doesn't have any water lines nearby so I think a gravity fed water tank would be ideal for that. We have several large water tanks we could use, I just need to install gutters on the coop to catch the water. Thanks for watching

Do your animals just come back of a night into there pens? Or do you have to collect them all? 😊🇬🇧
@joshuareynolds52196 жыл бұрын
Most of our animals such as the chickens and guineas actually do go to their coops at night by themselves, and then I just close the doors. There are always a few that refuse to go in at night, but our dogs do a good job keeping away predators.

Profit?
@joshuareynolds52194 жыл бұрын
We don't really make profit from the farm, we are mostly able to earn back the cost of feeding all the animals, so right now we're just doing the farm as a hobby and to meet new people.
@KreshoMarin6 жыл бұрын
clean up those eggs if you are selling them ffs
@joshuareynolds52196 жыл бұрын
We do clean them before selling them but if we are storing them for a while it is best to not wash them because they have a natural coating on them which keeps them fresh without having to be refrigerated. If we wash right after collecting them we would fill our fridge very quickly.
