Couple things: if you want a hydrating foundation, try Clinique Even Better. I'm 42 and it makes my skin look alive & dewy. It wears well too when set down. Second, that Jello Jello peel off is tricky. It tore my nails up too. The tips I have are: dont prep your nails how we normally would. I only do cuticle removal & then put the base coat on in thin layer. I've seen others leave a 2mm margin around the nail which apparently helps it removes more easily? When it's time to remove, I drench the nails in the remover, wait about 5 mins, wedge an orange stick to lift the edges & apply more remover whenever the gel isnt lidting w ease, wait a few mins to start "prying" again. But you tossed them! Lol I get it

Because every time I’ve tried it I’ve prepped well and destroyed my nails 😅 but this time I literally did the orange wood stick and added so much of the oil for an hour and it was the worst removal I’ve had yet. Maybe I’ll try again in the future but I threw it away as a reminder to myself that I have to be intentional if I’m using it and can’t just slap it on like I usually would. So if I rebuy it I am making a choice to do it differently. Ugh but I was so frustrated 😅

I had the same issue with the stuff. Pulled a lot of layers from my nail and I was super careful too. Glad I’m not the only one. I think people who get in with it have some camera trickery going on x

✨A Jello Jello peel off base tip✨ When it comes to the jello jello peel off base, I had the same problem with it destroying my free edge and the center of my nail plate. So what I started to do is about 3 quarter of the way down my nail plate I’ll go in with a thin layer of normal peel off base coat. Being sure I avoid my cuticle area as well as my side walls. So, just putting the peel off base on my free edge. And then go in with my jello jello over the entire of the nail and continue with the nail extensions. The important part is to make sure the normal peel off base is thin layer and you only do it on your free edge. Cause that’s where I notice I have the most damage. I use the Dami peel off base coat.

Ouuuu interesting method!!! If I hadn’t thrown my jello jello out I would try!! 😅 best to let my nails heal anyway I suppose haha. When I used it in the past I definitely found the free edge had the hardest time, sadly this time it was the entire nail that took the beating 😭

I am so confused. I am a nail tech of 18 years in Alberta and a plastic scrub brush can be washed and sanitized in HLD5. Why would Ontario make you throw them out! So not good for the environment. Wow. I wish Canada just had regulated rules for all provinces. Anyway. Love your work and videos. Hope your wedding is spectacular ❤

I 100% recommend the Estée Lauder foundation yes it’s a little pricy but it looks sooo good and stays all day.

As far as foundations... Definitely long wear!! I recommend !looking at makeup forever HD Foundation, YSL 24 HR longwear and Guerlain terracotta healthy glow foundation. If you're going to do your own makeup prep your skin really good with super hydration!! Everything on your eye makeup should be waterproof! Good luck and congratulations😘

I wonder if jello jello peel base loses its peely-ness over time? I have no problem getting them off when it’s been like a 1 week mani but if I leave it on for say 2 or more weeks it becomes harder and harder to remove. I used it for a pedicure once that I kept for a month and it basically ripped off a layer of like half of one of my big toes 😩

Hey babe! Another foundation you should try (maybe grab a sample cause she’s pricey) the Valentino light-lasting perfecting foundation…I never wear foundation anymore but if I picked one for a special occasion or something that would be it. I have about 20 foundations sitting here lol I was a huge makeup junkie before it became a nail thing…so I’ve tried everything 😆 I like that one way more than the nars and two faced. It’s really pretty! I could keep going with product recommendations but I’ll stop here 😆 for your wedding id use the one size setting spray too, your makeup will last till you wash it off! Ok that’s the last thing 😂

And another thing…😂 I’m so sad you’re having problems with the jello jello! I wonder why…! I know you’re not doing anything wrong so maybe a bad bottle…?! That would be too weird though. I’m also thinking that it’s not great as a peel off base if you’re only wanting your nails on for a very short period of time..? Maybe it’s better for longer wear and then it’s just easy to pop off after a couple weeks or something..?! I don’t knowww 😫 I just got the new hoholee peel off base from zilla and that one sounds like it’s for a very short wear time so I’ll try that and update! ☺️

Do you ever ask your clients if they want the cute little pink nail brush instead of throwing them away? I use them to scrub my own nails when i wash my hands, as I hate having stuff under my nails. My part also enjoys me brushing her with one (it doesn't really brush her, she just likes the way it feels on her head :P).

Ok I swear this is my last comment 🤣 one more little tip I always give people, liquid foundation tends to wear off on your nose before anywhere else so I never use it on my nose, I use powder foundation on my nose always. So liquid foundation everywhere except your nose, powder foundation on nose. Then it lasts all day. Ok I’m done giving my unsolicited advice now 🤣 if you don’t have that problem ignore this I just know most people do bc your nose produces more oils than anywhere else ☺️

@@RebeccaRamsdale I heard it from this makeup artist KZbinr years ago she was amazing but she doesn’t make videos anymore. She literally knew everything. Ever since I heard her say that I’ve done it and it works so much better. I don’t wear liquid foundation anymore I just use a little one size powder foundation on my nose and cheeks and call it a day that powder foundation is really nice! So is the makeup forever one. The melt finishing powder is amazing for swirling over all your makeup at the end to blend everything together too! 😆 just some things I’ve picked up over the years lol can’t wait to see your wedding pics!!!
