Simple yet very informative video. Your voice is smooth, articulate, and easily understood. Good job.

Thank you for your kind comment. We are glad that you found the video helpful. Our advice on telescopes would be to look at using a low magnification to start (maybe a 20mm eyepiece). Upgrade with higher magnification eyepieces later on (bare in mind lower numbers mean higher magnifications with astronomy eyepieces). A barlow lens is worth considering (a 2x barlow doubles the magnification of any eyepiece). I hope this is helpful. Kind Regards, The Astronomy and Nature Centre

thank you so much for this video...I want to gift a binocular to my nephew on his 12 birthday and wasn't sure which one to go for...but now I know. I think I will go for 10*50 Porro prism.

Hi, thx for this video. One question: when it comes to compact vs porro prism design, is a 8x56 compact equivalent to the same size in porro design and also suitable for sky observations, or is it only meant for birding?

Excellent advice & presentation, it makes a change from a gimmicky video from a straight forward & to the point of your video, your prices are unbelievable.. I'm looking to buy a telescope, i'm a beginner & would like one with a device which points at targets so im not searching without any knowledge, do you have such a device, any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Very good video. Additionally, however, an illustration of a very important aspect - "Field of View / Apparent Angle of View" - would be greatly appreciated by begineers. Thank You !

Hi there. It sounds like you need a telescope. You are unlikely to find binoculars with magnifications higher than 40x that are worth buying. If they are worth buying expect them to be big, heavy and - expensive - and worry if they're not. We've looked through 'novelty' binoculars of 100x and over! After 2 minutes all you're going to see are the coloured lights of a migraine. Regards A&NTV

I am expanding my interest in astronomy to more than books and documentaries lol. Here we are near Christmas and the deals are overwhelming. Any deals this season you would recommend to a beginner? Would I enjoy a Orion Funscope telescope ($65) and a pair of celestron Skymaster Giants 15x70 ($50.00) to start or should opt of the Nikon 8250 a211 16x50 Aculon's for $106. The Nikon A211 zoom 10-22 x 50's really have my attention too. For a beginner, for astronomy, ($149) what would be the best buy here. Please help lol.

...and for astronomy, a minimum of 50mm objective lens is good, and larger is even better. views get staggeringly awesome when you have dark skies and a 63, 70, or even 80mm objectives.

what 20-120X100, 20-280X100, 30-160x70, 30X -380 x 300 this numbers mean??
@velocipede36637 жыл бұрын
fahim boss If they are binoculars, then they need a tripod for the 380x300, those are telescope sizes though 380 power is almost way too much since there's our polluted atmosphere

I have just tried my 10X30 binoculars. I was disappointed how small the Moon looks. 10X' may be good for bird/bedroom watching, but not astronomy. Next time, I'll get a telescope!
