To anyone that plans on buying an Evolution golf cart here are some notes and tips! 1. The workers that put these together get paid per cart so they are built very fast so inspect your cart personally! There will be bolts not tight or missing all together! 2. Check the wiring for all the components! 3. Single base paint that’s done in a rush! Yes there will be swirls and imperfections! They aren’t 100K show cars!

You're pretty spot on, the dealer you buy from makes all the difference. There is a lot that goes into a proper PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) and a good dealer will have the carts set up the right way. As for paint issues, there can be some but it's certainly not on all carts.

Can you tell me why they advertise as 25 MPH but do not mention that to achieve that they upcharge for tuning? Just bought one and awaiting delivery and they wanted 125 bucks to reconfigure computer settings for maximum speed. Is this typical?

That's a dealer issue, we dont charge any extra to adjust speed parameters.

This video was filmed in July 2023... A few notes: 1) There s now a lifted D5 called the Maverck that retails for around $12,999 2) Both models are available in a 6 -seater version as well. 3) The MSRP of the Classic 4 Pro (Now $7995), Classic 4 Plus (Now $8995) and Forrester (Now $9995) have all been reduced significantly.

What if you didn’t want your cart registered so it’s a LSV? Could you still do that with a cart with a VIN?

Yes, you’re not required to register your cart, you would just pay sales tax instead of vehicle tax.

Buyer Beware! I just bought a new 2023- D5 cart and I'm have terrible issues with my golf cart. My cart is fully charged and once we take off, the SOC (charge meter) shows 100%, then it drops to 0 percent... and the speed goes to 5 mpg. I sent a note to the manufacture and I never got a response back. The other issue we are getting is a error 12 and error 198. To say I'm frustrated would be an understatement and looks like we need to take this issue to a different level to get our issues addressed.

This isn’t a buyer beware, this is a warranty issue. Your battery is out of balance and this can be fixed by your dealer in about an hour.

FYI 1) The sound bar only plays off 1 channel. It’s not stereo. It stinks. The Factory doesn’t have an OEM solution for front row or 2nd row speakers that will work in tandem with the sound bar. 2) Evolution dropped their prices in March 2024 by $2-$3 to keep market share against a new competitor (Denago). It had nothing to do with a model year change. That means that customers that bought a day before the announced price drop got royally screwed. Resale went down the toilet. Dealers also got screwed because their profit margins got pinched. That tells me a lot about the company. 3) Who pays for labor for warranty claims? A good dealer will.

This is all correct. We cover labor for our customers but bad dealers wont.

How are the 48v Evolution Batteries in reference to quality if I install it in another golf cart?

We sell hundreds and haven't really had any problems... we've had to swap BMS's before but the batteries are great.

We've sold hundreds of these carts and I can say that the true rate of mechanical issues seems to be less than 2%. It's always something simple or a known issue like a part swap for something that has been upgraded by Evolution that needs to be swapped. We've really enjoyed them as a brand.

Does anyone know the wiggle room on these units? Especially the Classic 4 Pro which is now selling for 7995 at my local dealer, seems to be getting outdated with the new D5 online. Seems like anything on wheels has room for negotiation, as I have always been able to get a few thousand off any car I have ever bought. Even now, the car market is slowing down, and you can get them under msrp. Any feedback from anyone that got "a deal" on one of these carts would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can no longer upgrade to a 205ah battery which is a deal killer on these evolution carts. That and the fact you cannot switch out colors of seats is a huge mistake by evolution. I would have one in my garage if it wasn't for these 2 things.

They still offer the 160ah which will give you 40-50 miles of range, I'm not sure what your use case is but if you need further than that, gas may be a better option. Also, your dealer can switch them out, we do it all the time.

If the battery has a 15-year life expectancy why is it only guaranteed for 5 years

I think that's how most things go... cars have a much longer lifespan than their 36k or even 100k mile warranty.
