For anyone who might want more context on the video they watched (I’m not fluent but I got the gist of it I think) the interviewer brought in men with children under 40 months old. Gave them a questionnaire asking things like “what’s your child’s favorite food?” And “how many photos of them do you have on your desk, in your wallet, in your cell phone, in your car?” And “when did you last tell them you loved them?” “When did you last hug them?” etc And then (when the text on the black screen shows up) they were given the same questionnaire but “child” was changed to “father”. And then after they did the questionnaire, vids of the men’s fathers started playing, some of the men started crying when their father said their name, some started crying when their fathers started apologizing to them. And then, after that, the fathers come into the room with the men’s children :) and gave them hugs

I'm glad wow is emotionally open with his dad,which is probably why he sympathized but didn't feel hurt himself seeing those questions,our society makes it really hard for dads to be emotionally vulnerable and affectionate with us after a certain age not to mention many of us also have parents who gave us trauma and it's very hard contextualize all the complex feelings about them let alone tell them about it,we love them and we hate them and it's all a big mess,you always regret not vocalizing your love even tho there are reasons why you've been holding off on it.

I cry and still can't stop crying till now..at first, I didn't understand what was mentioned in the video but then looking at the loving dad and his son/grandchild..i know it's about dad. When Jun started talking about his relationship with his dad, I get even sadder. Jun did cry, right? I saw his pool of tears in his eyes though they didn't roll down his cheeks..Since his dad always calls him, I really hope that starting from now, it would be easier for him to tell how much he loves his dad. Watching this reminded me of my own r/s with my dad. The only time I look for him was when I need money. It was like that from when I was a child until the end of my diploma. He was busy working and going to religious classes after work so he barely had time with us. I just don't know what to talk to him, how to talk as a daughter and father and I wasn't really comfortable with him. It was as if he is just an outsider. Things changed when he got depression. He said this to me one day with a very sad expression: you only find me when you need money. I was really stunned because at that time I didn't even notice that fact. We live in the same house as a family but we are like strangers. Well.. My r/s with him improved so much after that day. At first, it was very awkward but after a while we get used to talking and spending time with each other.

I almost crying as soon as I saw Jun's eyes getting watery. And I lost it when he said he finally heard is dad saying he loves him. My dad is difficult too - not strict, just... always feeling so distant. Never hugging me. Never sweet talks. Just "have you studied?" , "have you done that?". Even when I am sick - like these days - he will just ask my mum if I am better. And.. I am 27 and never heard him saying "I love you" - never. I usually fake it doesn't matter to me, but today I just let it out and cried.
