A Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 28DEC2024 This channel will be abandoned on 31DEC2024!

This channel will be abandoned on 31DEC2024. The new channel is up and running at KZbin channel Michael Jensen @Mikeinmorgan. The same videos are posted there. I will no longer add new videos at this channel for numerous reasons. Comment section has been turned off on this channel.
This California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan at 0540 MST (6 min. early with On Schedule departure). The power from P42s #179 & #79 (in Phase VII livery) brought the 8-car consist to a stop with car 7 to the station platform for passenger service to 3 detraining passengers and then to 3 new fares boarding the coach. In the meantime, a visit from Mr. Darrell was enjoyed and he shared the station stop with all viewers as well as a coffee for the camera man. I did enjoy the coffee! Thank you, Darrell!
There was a lull in station until departure time was reached. One passenger had to have a cigarette although this wasn't a scheduled smoke stop. As luck would have it, my scanner decided to give up the battery life at this time, so I didn't hear the high ball. But with a lame horn the Zephyr rolled west toward its next stop at Denver's Union Station.
