Psychostick!!! Back in the early 2000s, I was in a band playing the Phoenix scene at the same time Psychostick was coming up. I went to their CD release show for "We Couldn't Think of a Title". Always fun shows with those guys!

so sad the event itself got so bad, MiW Played to a HUGE headlining festival crowd and NO ONES talking about what a great achievement that is for them. i saw them in 2012 in a 800 cap and they slayed, so glad to see the progress

Went to a show during their creatures tour on hallows eve at a small bar in south Louisiana and it's still one of the best shows I've been to. Maybe about 75 people there but still performed as if it was an arena.

Blue Ridge was almost a Woodstock 99 part two. So sad the festival wasn't run properly by the staff, and the promoter.

Burning Man turned into a mudpit with rumors of an ebola outbreak, plus the Hollywood Skate Jam turned into a riot about a 1/2 hour after the 1st band started playing. I WAS TRYING TO ESCAPE THE SLIPKNOT MOSH PIT TOO, it was so bad. security dropped me on the railing while trying to get me out and i ended up with four big bruises.

Basically our initial plan was to get me crowd surfed but we took a stop at the pit and soon after the pit I was extremely hot and wanted to get the fuck out. So I crowd surfed and seconds later a medical emergency took place and show was paused. So I basically crowd surfed during a medical emergency lol

I hate that MiW's biggest headlining show ever was marred by such bs crap from that weekend. They put on an unreal show, and Chris was very obviously thankful for the crowd. I also camped in Mosher Meadows. Thankful for the cool people around cause that was a damn hike.

KINDA, I still showcased the fire incident, billowing from the trees and emergency response. Made it that thumbnail cause funni, that is a screenshot from the same fire I captured. Also you have no idea what you are talking about, there was zero "bro" culture here, more like everyone was on the same frequency of disappointment, very friendly, very willing to hangout talk and have fun even in the most disappointing of times. Being loud is an aspect of having fun, maybe then you British metalheads sit around quietly and jerk each other off then it sounds. I believe allowing oneself to open up to all different walks of life in any environment you may be situated in, brings about more appreciation of life. Being immersed in this festival was like the Wild West of characters and was extremely fun. That is what made Blue Ridge 2023 truly special in the end if you took advantage.
