A Canadian sniper, whose codename is Teflon, was set up in an apartment building in the destroyed city of Bakhmut, Ukraine, shooting waves of Russian soldiers. He says it was almost too easy: “I actually got to a point where I was like, can you stop? I’m tired of killing people ... I shouldn’t be killing people this easily.”
Bakhmut, in eastern Ukraine, has seen heavy fighting for months because invading Russian forces see it as strategically important. The Globe’s Mark MacKinnon spoke with the sniper about his role in the war, and how the battle for Bakhmut has been playing out on the ground.

This is the most recorded war in history. Not only that but we sometimes get videos of events the day they happen which is unprecedented. In nearly a full year of fighting there has never been a single recorded incident of "Human Wave" tactics by either side. That tells me that this sniper is either lying or misusing the term "Human Wave" to describe a half dozen guys trying to get to a spot and dig in and then give cover for the next group. Half a squad is not "Human Wave" tactics. The "Human Wave" excuse has been used by successive Western commanders going back hundreds of years to excuse away the fact that they eventually lost to not just Russia but specifically to Slavic people whom they saw as less than Human.

This story doesn't add up according to the way the Russians fight, they used artillery fire power before they send ground troops it's been testified on many occasions that many Ukrainians die b4 even seeing a Russian soldier its the reason we see a ratio of 10:1 but when I hear this guy's story there are alot of gaps professionally but since this channel is western based I can truly understand their projection of Russia military inferiority and great heroism of western mercenaries but us who follow this conflict second by second it's kinda different but as long as Russia looks weak to western media the better for the west by its the result will tell what is what

Third, the troops he's talking about are more than likely Wagner prisoner conscripts. Wagner has been using human wave tactics for months now with very little support to try and overwhelm the smaller Ukrainian defenders. Sorry never been to Ukraine, my information comes from the worldwide media and talking to friends who lived in Russia and my own listening and helping ordinary Russians and Ukrainian workers, From them, you can get to know the truth about how they live the joys their families the state of the country they live in. I am not stupid enough to believe all the straight lines fed to us by the media, I check facts some provided by the Russian leaders. You should do the same, I mean your top leaders on Russian-controlled media stating to Russians they have blown up tanks that aren't even in Ukraine, blown up far more military equipment than existed, soldiers coming forward and telling of their lack of training and having to scrounge and buy ammunition. The constant lies and laws control their own people. I know that the difference between Ukrainian and Russian ways was similar. but that changed when Ukraine wished to go a different way. Putin allowed the same influences into Russia. Putin did not like the fact that Ukraine wanted to change. Both sides filled with the rich gets vying for power and control through corruption and violence usually sanctioned by the state. Obviously, this led to other major powers wanting a bit of the action for their own agendas, Problem is Russia seemed to turn up when others countries were trying to stop mass stampedes of displaced people from around the world while Russia just wanted to stay with dictators that controlled the people. Putin did not have to invade Crimea which was thought out by Putin years before. The planning of the bridge did not occur overnight, Ukraine could not join Nato because of corruption it would have taken years if ever. Putin has caused Nato and most of the world to accept Ukraine into Nato if it can clean up the corruption and its image. Putin by his invasion threatened non-Nato countries into wanting to join Nato because they no longer felt safe. The facts are out there just find them and compare them to what you have been told For instance how many Jews live in Russia, Ukraine, in Belarus find the facts from your own government. From 1960 to the present day, you will find a lot have left Russia, Belarus and less from Ukraine. Study your history The Nazis controlled its people if they opposed Hilter they vanished, The Radio, Papers, Education and what you learnt proclaiming Hilter as their friend their leader their Hero a man of the people while preparing for war. secret police getting rid of the few that saw Hitler for what he was. Russian strategy is obvious. According to WaPo of all places Russians have 1:6 advantage in artillery (you can imagine their real advantage). 85% of Ukrainian soldiers are killed even without seeing an enemy. Russians are pounding Ukrainian army into oblivion with artillery . They are methodical, rational and they don't waste lives of their people. They are not obsessed with symbolism and deadlines like Zelenskyy. They achieved a lot. “The main object of operations should not be the territory, but the army of the enemy” Helmuth von Moltke Sr. You still don't get it. Zelenskyy strategy on the other hand is reduced to rounding up civilians often at gunpoint and throwing them into a meat grinder in a futile attempt to stabilize the front. It means that Ukrainian losses are snowballing . Simultaneously Zelenskyy keeps sending his troops to their deaths on suicide missions. What's the point in ongoing senseless drowning in the Dnieper of hundreds of troops?
