Yes and no.If you look at the white paper they put out it's a lot of http calls to a node they discovered that allowed them access. Once this was discovered they were able to swap in tokens. So it was complex to figure it out but then it wasn't so difficult to get around their system.

Give me an old fashioned gas car any day! I've always known these new cars with computers and electronics were going to be vulnerable. Too easy to get access and control. Call me old fashioned.

One of the reasons I bought a new car that still used a key. Had to go for a base model and spec it up to do it though.
