I think that the two white cards not matching was a happy accident because that blue layer really sets off the card. I imagine your friend will love this one, it’s looks so good. Another great card by Chrissie💕

Lovely card Christine. I too use the alcohol to clean up. I also dip my alcohol pen nibs in when they get a bit dry. Rejuvenates them. I've used water in the same way with felt tipped pens during my 30 years of childminding. (Saved no end of pens when the lids weren't secured properly. Thanks for your tips. 😊

Your card is very regal and fitting for a golf club! My husband was a chef in a golf country club for 27 years. Lots of tournaments to make special meals and celebrations. How fun to find a you-tube person honoring your teaching! You deserve all of the recognition as you are a wonderful teacher! ❤

It's no surprise to me that you came across someone who's learned a bit from you. I actually found your channel looking for a tutorial for how to use my little peg bow maker. And now I'm hooked! Your tutorial was spot on and I can now confidently make those bows every time. I love how uniform they come out so I use them when I'm making strings for hanging holiday decor (all kinds) and, of course, for cards. They're so pretty. Great card, as usual.

Nice card Christine. I don't know if you realized but the die has a set of wheels that can be cut out separately. Love watching you make these cards.

I know, they got cut out at the same time but the centres aren't separate and i wanted silver middles. I thought that the extra wheels would stick out too far too. So they got binned🤣🤣🤣

She will definitely like it the blue makes it more majestic. I can understand your pain about the white card. I have some creamy yellow card that I hate I’ve no idea where I got it. Using it now for the back of die cuts where it can’t be seen.

I guess you could always use the card you don't care for for anything that is going to be completely coloured, die cuts, backgrounds etc etc.

You have such an eye for detail Chrissie, and it does make an image more alive with the layers, and I love the tufts of grass around it, and the bold looking font for the words is perfect. Your friend will be extremely pleased with this. I have the same dislike of non matching whites. I mostly buy card blanks and usually use the same brand of A4 card so that they do match well. I did buy some cheaper ones recently and thought that probably the white A4 card would be whiter, but luckily and surprisingly the difference was minimal otherwise I was going to cut some of the cards up to use with the rest of the card batch so they would match perfectly. x

It's actually the reason I don't buy card blanks ready made. I need to have the same cardstock for any die cuts or panels as the card base itself and to be honest I've never seen a ready made card base that I actually liked the cardstock of!🤣🤣🤣

Yes, I can understand that as I know you prefer the linen card which is a more off white/creamy colour and the look must be quite varied with different brands, and so difficult to match. I must admit I have never tried linen card but I do like the look on your cards, so maybe I might be tempted to buy some to try. x
