A Career Break can be Eye-Opening - Why taking time off is important

Taking time off can be a really good thing. We often try to escape the quiet times because we don't know what to do with ourselves.
But taking a career break is an amazing opportunity to have time and space to think and reflect, and get to know yourself better. To give yourself a chance to build new bridges and connect with parts of yourself that might have been hidden. Taking time off can result in finding new interests, skills or people.
Sometimes, to make big changes in life, you have to wait for the right time. As with anything in life you need to have patience.
I spent my career break in my home country Slovenia, a beautiful oasis of green and quiet. Surrounded by majestic mountains, forests and lakes, I spent many hours reflecting and soul-searching.
My career break is now over and it was the best thing I did in a long time. Even though I went back at work, my work schedule is now much more flexible. During this time I learnt so many things about myself and the life I want to be living. This is why I decided to make solid plans and goals in order to achieve the life that will be more fulfilling and free.

So calming.. Taking a break is really important for our lives, both mentally and physically. 2:03 such a cute moss mountain..i absolutely love these little nature creations. It brings me happiness 🙂🌿

Thank you for sharing. 🥰 I am starting next week a 3 months-career break. I decided that it will be only 3 months but I feel afraid it can be extended if I find nothing I can do. And financially talking it can be really stressful. Anyway, I need it since last year. I am exhausted of overthinking. Even calming my mind in my meditations times is so difficult to reach due to mental noise. I do really need a break 😪

Good for you! You have to look after yourself and your health is the number one priority. I'm sure this will give you the much-needed headspace and calm. The space and queit helped me a lot and my mind was clear on what I wanted so in the end I got exactly that! 💚
