Aston Martin is absolutely his best bet. He wants a shot at the title, which he wont get with redbull. He also wants security, which he wont get with redbull. Renault in 2016 was struggling while they were significantly better off in 2019 and even got a few podiums in 2020. Mclaren in 2017/18 were still nowhere and had to completely overhaul their entire and car design. After the "Carlos-era" they won their first race in almost a decade in 2021. And lastly, Ferrari in 2020 had one of their worst seasons in the last 20 years. Right now it seems, Carlos will leave the second fastest team on the grid. In the past 6 month or so, my perception of the Ferrari drivers changed. I believe that Charles is the better qualifier and, if Ferraris strategy will truly change for the better, would ultimately be superiour. However, as soon as the strategists have an off day, Sainz is there to tell them off and capitalise. In a Team where he is allowed to lead, he would win championships. He is adaptable with his driving style (he drove the weird mclarens and did so rather well), he developed this top down view during races, he can and will capitalise. I don't think any team can afford not to check if they don't have an opening for him. Championships are not won during Qualifying, but during races, and races are this man's strongest suit.

Carlos isn't as fast as Leclerc, but is very good at taking advantage of Leclerc's mistakes. He's also better at taking situations in a race under his own control when the team lets him down. Max is at least as fast as Leclerc (I think he's faster actually, when he needs to be) but he almost never makes mistakes and the RB car is loaded with oversteer to the point that other drivers can't cope. Checo won his first race on a fluke, if Mercedes hadn't messed up Russell's race he would have won it with Bottas on 2 easily. His win was random, like Ocon's or Gasly's. While Carlos has now won both times when Red Bull slipped, the second time now even against a (better) Red Bull car still on track, which should have, by all rights, just dominated. This is like back then, when Mercedes dominated with Hamilton and Verstappen scooped up wins, while Bottas couldn't keep up, even though that Merc was just surreal. Every time Carlos switched teams he was instantly on it, even beating established teammates. I firmly believe he would adapt instantly again.

It’s very noteworthy that he could come to terms with the difficult McLaren when Daniel Ricciardo, whose talent was never seriously questioned until McLaren, never could. And when he switched to Ferrari, it was twitchy and not the easiest car to drive at first, but he settled into it very quickly, as well. And just to piss off all the Max fanboys, it’s worth pointing out that even Max has not demonstrated that sort of adaptability - when the Red Bull was understeery, Perez was notably close to Max until that balance was sorted out. We really don’t know if Max might have struggled just (or almost) as much as Ricciardo in that absolute dog of a McLaren. Marko, for whom the sun rises and sets on Max, even paid Carlos the highest praise by saying he was almost as fast as Max and they were just about evenly matched. I was thinking Red Bull wouldn’t want him back because of the toxicity when he and Max were in the same team, but I wasn’t considering the current politics within the team. Now I have much more hope of him ending up there next year.😁 that would make for great entertainment, both on and off the track

Jos and Carlos Sr. had beef at Toro Rosso. With Jos already being an a hole, this move would create a bad situation.

Although Leclerc is my personal favorite driver, you can't take anything away from Carlos! I wanted to see him stay with Ferrari but I understand why they couldn't pass up the opportunity to grab Lewis. However, it's slightly unfair for Carlos and I don't care where he ends up, I believe Sainz more than deserves to be in a top tier team fighting for podiums if not outright wins! Smooth Operator (in more ways than one) FTW!

Great comment young man! As soon as I heard the shock announcement about Sir to Ferrari I though the perfect fit - RedBull to replace Checo. Sure the dads will have their tensions reignited but Christian won't lose any sleep over that! 🤣🤣🤣 In fact I think this will be Christian's ideal move to reestablish his control over the RB team, a kick in Jos's teeth and a clear message to Helmut that he doesn't make the final choice. Carlos won't be worried about being regarded as No 2, he's beaten that one down these last 3+ years, though Max will be very hard to beat.

See I would love to see carlos at RB (where he was supposed to be a long ago) but the issues is that what is going to be his role? the problem at ferrari was that carlos was not happy to be the 2nd driver, I am guessing he won't be happy with that role at rb too so where does that leave him??

It would be awesome! I think Max would have more fun with Carlos. And they could always give team orders if the racing gets too close as Max will be the priority - unless he’s at Mercedes lol

LawVS has incredible F1 knowledge in that atic, he mentioned carlos tym at toro and true carlos apart from dnfs he did very well against max, this guy knows his stuff far much more than sme offical F1"pundits" this is the type of journalistic stuff we need, WAIT WHAT Sainz snr had his appendix removed too back inda day...okay Carlos is gona bag 3more wins this year. Sainz and Max would be the ultimate team pairing. lando&oscar max&carlos, russel&albon, leclerc&lewis stroll&checo, logan&liam that wud be so so crazy fun.

You forget one minor detail and that is Sainz’s unfortunate tendency to try to elbow his way past his teammates. When they were both at Toro Rosso, Sainz whined over the radio to get the team to tell Max to let him pass because “I am quicker”, to which Max answered “NO!” This set the tone for their relationship on and off the track. Like all drivers, Max and Carlos are there for one person and one person only, themselves but Max does not ask to be let through, he just passes you and goes on his merry way.

Yes that was the case but a decade on both drivers have evolved.

Marko "praising" Yuki is part of his scheming, make no mistake. Tsunoda has been a thorn in Horner's side for quite some time, he wants him gone.
@jamesvoneschen66038 ай бұрын
Daniel’s dwindling performance seems like it’d be a bigger thorn in his side considering it was pretty much his decision to bring him back.
@aoife11228 ай бұрын
@@jamesvoneschen6603 I have an inkling there might be some "secret" agreement in place, like getting Yuki into RBR for the final year of their partnership (having a Japanese race winner would be an unbelievably massive deal for Honda). Why Horner desperately tried to get rid of Tsunoda before the last season... and let's be honest, Red Bull is known to have sacked drivers for MUCH less mediocrity. I don't think, Horner had much say regarding Danny Ric, he's there to please the new sponsors. This is F1 after all and money talks.

Sainz would be a great fit at Red Bull. I think of all those races the last 2 years that Max won by 20 seconds and Checo was 4th or 5th would of been easy Red Bull 1-2's. Perez has really only had one weekend in the 3+ years partnering Max that he truly looked faster than Max all weekend.....Azerbujin 2023. I think Carlos is fast enough to do that to Max 2-3 times a year. But he's not so fast that he would create a Lewis/Nico or Prost/Senna toxic workplace alongside Max.
@michaeldellorso8898 ай бұрын
Supposedly Checo already renewed for 2025, but I doubt Sainz-Max would be chaos. Leclerc-Sainz has been very respectful and Max-Sainz would be a clear 1-2 scenario.
@conquesttsi888 ай бұрын
As long as Marko is at Red Bull, no one. Absolutely no one will have a fair shot. The max camp rules in that team. Carlos would not want to play second fiddle to anyone. I say Carlos should go to Mercedes. Only team he will have a fair shot to win and do better.

With how good he's been, it seems odd for Ferrari to spend exorbitant amounts on Hamilton who has seemingly lost a lot of his marketability

Sainz is truly the one the got away for Red Bull. They should have promoted him instead of Ricciardo. They can still fix that mistake.

Carlos to redbull is tempting ngl but I'm afraid it'll fk up the rb dominance cz we all know two amazing drivers is great and all but once they start competing w each other instead of other teams it'll be a slippery slope down we fkd up lane

I doubt Carlos would want to go to Red Bull. He’ll have one season in a dominant car, but by the sounds of how things are going at red bull if he signs a long term contract he’s sacrificing any chance of success after the regs change. One season in a car he’s not used to against Max followed by a likely midfield car doesn’t sound appealing
